House Democrats on Wednesday pressured Republicans to hold a vote now on a bill that would ban high capacity gun clips like the one used in the deadly Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D- Calif., said the GOP leadership should put a bill on the floor by Friday that would limit the size of gun magazines to 10 rounds.
Republicans leaders have not publicly responded to Pelosi's demand.
Flanked by a crowd of Democratic lawmakers, Pelosi made the statement at a news conference announcing a special House Democratic task force aimed at examining gun violence. Pelosi said she has tapped Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., who is a gun owner and a hunter, to lead the panel.
Democrats are trying to seize momentum necessary to pass the most aggressive gun control measure since the 1994 legislation that banned a wide range of assault weapons.

An icon of American history, WW2’s US M1 carbine, has a 15-round magazine. NY state is now rushing to force a ban on all magazines of greater than 10 rounds. Currently, all such magazines made after 1994 are banned. NY state has had broad bans and expensive licensing requirements far beyond any definition of reasonable and now they are going for even more.
One of the liberal idiots at work actually suggested that Law Enforcement needed better guns and high cap mags because they interact with criminals. Huh??? The majority of crimes also include citizens that are no less deserving of the ability to defend themselves. They kind of forget about the victims. Just remember. Cops are just minutes away when seconds count.

If we are restricted to 10 round magazines, did any Democrat not think the shooter will just carry more magazines? Any good gun handler can change a 10 round magazine in less than 2 seconds so what good would it do to limit 30 round magazines.
The question the gun grabbers won't answer is "Are you willing to take the responsibility for the lives that will be lost by people no longer able to defend themselves?"

Any elected officials that vote for this need to be removed from office. Bans aren’t going to do anything to prevent mass murder. We know it, they know it. It’s not about safety, it’s about controlling the people.
If they pass this, they do so in violation of their oaths of office and provem themselves the liars we believe they are. And, if they have no respect for us, why should we respect them and abide by anything they demand through laws?

Almost immediately in the aftermath of the Connecticut shooting, Democrats are charging ahead with their knee-jerk reactions. BAN this, BAN that, LIMIT this, OUTLAW that.
Please, I implore you, do NOT be swayed by their efforts to play on fear. Rather, stand fast in defiance of their effort to dis-arm America, one step at a time. Disarmament of the populace is, after all, their not so well-hidden ultimate goal.
Even though it means nothing at all to the left, I trust that you agree with me that the Constitution, and the 2nd Amendment, are not negotiable based on the latest media reports or the latest polls. The Founders knew what they were doing. Don't let the holier-than-thou liberals undo what has stood for centuries.

All they want is for you to break any of their new laws, whether mag limitations or select weapon, and you’re now a felon, not able to legally own a gun. Their plan is to pass so many laws, including those you must pass before you know whats in it.
