BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (KDKA) Emergency officials are on the scene of a deadly shooting in Frankstown Township, in Blair County.
Right now, sources tell KDKA-TV that four people are dead, and three Pennsylvania State Troopers were also hurt, but are expected to be okay.
Sources say at least part of the shooting took place at the Juniata Valley Gospel Church.
Troopers responded to a 9-1-1 shots fired call about 9 a.m. Additional 9-1-1 calls reported an armed man shooting at additional locations.
According to sources, two troopers were fired at by the driver of a pickup truck on Juniata Valley Road and a third officer was injured in a head-on crash with the pickup.
Sources say the suspect was Jeffrey Lee Michael of Hollidaysburg, Pa.
Michael exited the truck and immediately shot at troopers. Troopers returned fire, killing Michael.
One trooper was hit by two bullets, one in the chest area, which hit his body armor. A second bullet hit the trooper in the wrist. A second trooper was injured from shattered glass, and shrapnel to the face from the gunfire. A third trooper was injured in the motor vehicle crash.
No word on the three people Michaels allegedly killed before firing at troopers.
Who is Random and what did he do to piss this guy off?
It’s zer0 time. Tell black chllins to get a job. Get shot.
Most likely he killed the victims at the church and then was engaged on the road by police.
Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of the citizen to bear arms is just one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible. - Hubert Humphrey(bitter clinger), 1960
Gun bans dont disarm criminals, gun bans attract them.- Walter Mondale, U.S. Ambassador to Japan(bitter clinger), April 20, 1994
And then they went and posted pictures of themselves on facebook pointing their guns at the camera. Two of the kids were 8 and 9 years old. The oldest was 14. They were bugging the lady’s boyfriend for cigarettes. When she told them to get off the streets and get a job, they just pulled a frikking gun and shot her point blank....like it was nothing.
She was 23 years old with a young baby.
I wonder if this Church was a “Gun Free Zone” like my Church? I refuse to obey ridiculous prohibitions that place the safety of others in jeopardy.

Maybe it's because of being Texas or it could be that the extremely Conservative church of Christ (small 'c' -- not Jeremiah Wright's lunatic asylum) just sees things differently but my congregation is far from a gun free zone. The preacher carries and, likewise, a good percentage of those of us worshiping on Sundays (and, of course, Wednesday night). Any thug trying to make off with the collection plate will be greeted with a hail of hot lead through the head just before he enters eternal damnation. The Second Amendment means a lot to us -- and is right up there with Acts 2:38 as far as most of us at the coC are concerned.
In my opinion, a church is definitely among the places where guns should be welcomed. America was built on a foundation of God and guns. They are absolutely inseparable.
Amen, my friend.

The media will never report a story where a weapon saved lives. First, it doesn't suit their liberal agenda. Second, no crime was committed - people lived. No crime means no ratings.
Good news never sells in our culture of death. If a story doesn't shock or frighten, it's tossed aside.
And even if it is about just God, if you pay attention to the Bible, it tells you not to be unarmed and that Jesus himself didn’t have a problem with self-defense or defensive preparations/arms.
Luke 22:35-38 comes immediately to mind.
You sound like my wife reacting to “Fire at will.”
These people are drawn to the publicity as a moth to the light.
Which raises an issue for some of us. If you’re legally able to carry a firearm — CCW holder, off-duty officer, whatever, isn’t it almost your duty to do so in times like this?
And if you live in a shall-issue state, isn’t it almost your duty to get trained and licensed?
Been much on my mind lately. As has Dave Grossman’s admonition: “If you are a warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be on 24/7 for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself... Baa.
Maybe, the NRA and/or some of the conservative groups should take out a full page ad in Newspapers and TVs all over the nation that provides the list, and periodically adds to it?
Good. It's the best way to save the taxpayers money and ensure that this guy will never kill again.
More small town senseless mass murders...
Yep...

Horror as four dead and three state troopers injured at Pennsylvania church shooting
One female victim had been decorating a church hall for a children's Christmas party
Three people have been shot dead near a rural Pennsylvania church today before the gunman was killed by police.
State police say the shooter killed three people, then exchanged gunfire with troopers rushing to the scene. Troopers fatally shot him after his pickup crashed into one of their cruisers, injuring three officers.
“In my opinion, a church is definitely among the places where guns should be welcomed...... America was built on a foundation of God and guns..... They are absolutely inseparable....”
I think about that often, how God looks at a situation where you might have to shoot and kill someone in self-defense....Is it a lack of faith that I wasn’t protected?....”There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling”.......I mean, there is such a thing as supernatural protection “He shall encamp angels about thee, to lift thee up, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone”.......One of the mysteries to be revealed at the last day.....
if the media was consistent qnd objective they’d run an obama death count clock for the everday murders in major us cities ever day.
never hear a peep aout inner city murders that go on all the time...
It's because typical murders occur all the time, in rural and urban areas. However, there seems to be an uptick regarding these senseless mass murders in rural or smaller towns in recent years.
When a bunch of totally innocent people are killed all at one time, it always makes bigger news.
