U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach said it was fortunate no one was there. “This is a man who had intolerance in his heart and acted with hate,” he said. “We can count ourselves lucky.”
Linn said he went room by room to make sure no one was in the building. “I was drinking a beer while I was doing that,” he said.

He should be hailed as a hero.

The guy that murdered those firemen up in New York only served 17 years for the hammer murder of his grandmother. But that was not a HATE crime.

Terrible job of excerpting. Is there a reason why you did it?

20 years for burning a prayer rug and gun related charges in which nobody was hurt? The average sentence for rape is 12 years. Ridiculous fascists.

Linn should have been given a sentence of 12 months rehabilitation served by serving hamburgers to Marines at Quantico.
Secondly he should have been awarded the “enlightened pyromaniac” award.
Every Mosque on American soil is a pustule intended to destroy the Constitution and the nation for which it stands.

Here's the money quote:
He estimated that he had drunk 45 beers over several hours before he decided to drive to Ohio.
Also, the depth to which political correctness has infected even everyday thinking in this country is revolting:
U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach said it was fortunate no one was there. "This is a man who had intolerance in his heart and acted with hate," he said.
...which differentiates this crime from all of the other instances of arson, which were done out of love. The weak-minded fools in this country who have drunk deep of the Kool-aid think that the greatest crime is "hatred" or "intolerance". You will tolerate anything and everything in this country, no matter how vile or hostile, or we will throw your ass in jail for 20 years.

U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary told Linn that his acts were an attack on all places of religion and that the mosque was a symbol of peace. Really? Can anyone support this theory?

He did not destroy a mosque. He set fire to a prayer rug..... The Mosk sprinkler system kicked in and put out the fire. Mosk klowns claim there is smoke and water damage. I would love to get a truthful assessment of how much

A sprinkler system extinguished the blaze, leaving smoke and water damage in the prayer room of the facility, whose golden dome is a landmark along Interstate 75. No one was hurt.
20 years? Outrageous.

20 years for burning a mosque? What’s the going rate for burning a church?

Was the mosque full of male Muslims aged 12 and over? If not, burning it was a wasted effort.
