They have to fend off terrorists daily. The occasional nut wouldn’t even get his foot in the door.

Was just listening to a talk radio program here in Yakima, WA. The host was asking the former superintendent of the Yakima Schools, who came from a large, inner-city system, why most of the shooting happened to be in gun-free schools or rural schools.

The superintendent's reply was that most of the inner-city schools have their own armed police force to protect the students and schools.

If that is so, then why is there so much opposition to arming teachers or patrols in the rural schools?

And they got airport security right, too.

because no amount of their bullshiite is going to change reality so they resort to mocking the idea loudly and often in hopes of affecting perception and; thus, reality. It’s mind control.

This is fine except that much of the owned USA media that has an affinity against the NRA, has said that Israel has shot down the NRA suggestion that Israel arms their schools. They have an ultimate agenda and it is to disarm America so that the few elites can control us.

How many links do you want?

The USA media is rigged and corrupt against the USA.

They have to fend off terrorists daily. The occasional nut wouldn’t even get his foot in the door.

Israel is a special case. The occasional nut is unlikely to have a firearm.

Unlike in the United States, where the right to bear arms is guaranteed in the Constitution’s Second Amendment, Israel’s department of public security considers gun ownership a privilege, not a right. Gun owners in Israel are limited to owning one pistol, and must undergo extensive mental and physical tests before they can receive a weapon, and gun owners are limited to 50 rounds of ammunition per year.

Not all Israelis, however, may own guns. In order to own a pistol, an Israeli must for two years have been either a captain in the army or a former lieutenant colonel. Israelis with an equivalent rank in other security organizations may also own a pistol.

In addition, residents of West Bank settlements, and those who work there, may own pistols for self-defense.

Other groups of Israelis, such as professional hunters and sharpshooters, or people transporting dangerous goods, may also own firearms. And Israelis may keep unloaded guns they inherited or received as a gift.

Lior Nedivi, a former police officer, said that despite Israel’s militarized society, neither soldiers nor veterans engage in extensive gun violence because 18-year-olds are tested for mental and physical fitness before being drafted.

The regulations for gun ownership became stricter following the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995. Before that, there were virtually no restrictions on gun ownership.

“Israel is a special case. The occasional nut is unlikely to have a firearm.”

Actually we shouldn’t care about Israel and their special case. Instead we need to only care about our American/USA rights to be armed and not ever have that right infringed upon by others. The discussion about Israel and their laws means absolutely nothing to me. The media is trying to deflect and conflate our USA rights with another country.

Ok. The random nut in Israel is unlikely to be armed; however, the very common Islamic terrorist favors soft targets. So, the need for armed security in schools in both countries has some similarity.

I happen to know the police officer who works in a local school in a fairly bad neighborhood. He is stationed there permanently, and wears a S&W 645 on his hip IN THE SCHOOL at all times. While I can't say I'm fond of his choice in weapons, it is on clear display at all times, in the school.

The question needs to be asked, not whether to guard the schools with armed guards, but WHY AREN'T THE UNGUARDED ONES GUARDED?

From that perspective, the politicians already KNOW that some schools need to be guarded. They've just failed to guard all of them, and are using their failure against us to take our guns.

Since almost every Israeli citizen serves, as well as there being guns galore to steal, this is not much of a barrier.

Their average citizens are also very well trained in responsible use of firearms. They don’t fear firearms like Americans. Their average civilians are well trained and equipped to handle dreaded terrorists. Americans only talk and debate endlessly but still have no clue on what to do when a single deranged idiot walks in with a gun and starts shooting.

"Yer" claim was "Since almost every Israeli citizen serves", about which there is no mention in the link cited. "Yer" too dumb to recognize a statistic if it bit you in the ass. Get back to me when you can come up with some reliable statistics on what percent of males and females actually serve, and not "some 80% of those who receive summons serve". The 80% figure does not include those who are exempted and do not receive a summons.

Apologize. Yeah. To myself for wasting my time on such a moron.

Oh, and what about all those "guns galore" sitting around just waiting to be stolen. Pfft.
