What was once surreal, is now reality. What once uttered would summon the men in the white coats powering up their electroshock devices, now qualifies you as their teleprompter-driven spokesperson.

Republicans will cave on taxes at a minimum.
There is still Os spending demands and the debt limit extension but he figures after getting beat on taxes Rs will be weaker on those too.

"At a certain point, if folks can’t say 'yes' to good offers, than I also have an obligation to the American people to make sure that the entire burden of deficit reduction doesn't fall on seniors who are relying on Medicare... families who rely on Medicaid to take care of a disabled child" and middle class families, he said. "There is a basic fairness that is at stake in this whole thing.

No mention of the fact he went along with the fiscal cliff by signing it into law. Also he mentions Medicare, but decimates it with his healthcare law. Mentions taking care of disabled children, but he essentially eliminated the ability to use tax-free flexible spending accounts to help care for them.

And of course, none of these issues were raised as follow-up questions to ask the President to explain this obvious contradiction, or to even explain how raising taxes not to reduce the deficit, but to cover even more massive spending increases, helps the situation in any way.

I guess if Ubanga believes that the Democrats have won, and the parasites do indeed now outnumber the hosts, then I understand why he would make that arrogant claim. Still, I’m not at all sure every parsite necessarily agrees with him. There must be some moochers who have a little shame. (Of course, there are some working, taxpaying, traditional American families that inexplicably support the African communist, so who knows?)

“I have the support of most Americans and Republicans. And Canadians too.” boasted the possibly legitimate president.
“Furthermore, you know what? I can spin a Dodge Dart on my finger. I can sharpen a lawnmower—while it’s running. I’m so fast I can turn out the bathhouse lights and I’m soakin’ before it gets dark! I’m not even Catholic and they want me to be Pope. I could play guard for the Bulls “ blah blab blah blah

Hitler was popular in Germany at one time.
Mao was popular in China at one time.
Stalin and Karl Marx were revered in Russia.
Mussolini was popular in Italy.
.
.
Barack Hussein Obama has good approval numbers at this time.
.
.
But history will look at him differently.

Obama seems to have a strategy to terminate all of the Bush tax cuts, not just those for “the rich,” as he has been saying since 2008. He is offering the Republicans exactly zero concessions in the “fiscal cliff” negotiations. No spending cuts, no entitlement reform, no compromise on the rates. It is entirely my way or the highway, and if the Republicans refuse to do everything exactly as he demands, he will let the Bush tax cuts expire entirely, for the middle class and working people as well as the upper incomes, and blame the Republicans for refusing to go along with him, and for the economic results.

Watch for new radical FDR inspired proposals tomorrow. From acceptance speech last month :

Quote Obama
And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It will require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.
Unquote Obama

The Oglethorpe FDR speeches are your clue:

Quotes FDR

Much of this waste is the inevitable by-product of progress in a society which values individual endeavor and which is susceptible to the changing tastes and customs of the people of which it is composed. But much of it, I believe, could have been prevented by greater foresight and by a larger measure of social planning. Such controlling and directive forces as have been developed in recent years reside to a dangerous degree in groups having special interests in our economic order, interests which do not coincide with the interests of the Nation as a whole. I believe that the recent course of our history has demonstrated that, while we may utilize their expert knowledge of certain problems and the special facilities with which. they are familiar, we cannot allow our economic life to be controlled by that small group of men whose chief outlook upon the social welfare is tinctured by the fact that they can make huge profits from the lending of money and the marketing of securities—an outlook which deserves the adjectives “selfish” and “opportunist.”

..…

No, our basic trouble was not an insufficiency of capital. It was an insufficient distribution of buying power coupled with an over-sufficient speculation in production. While wages rose in many of our industries, they did not as a whole rise proportionately to the reward to capital, and at the same time the purchasing power of other great groups of our population was permitted to shrink. We accumulated such a superabundance of capital that our great bankers were vying with each other, some of them employing questionable methods, in their efforts to lend this capital at home and abroad.

The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something. The millions who are in want will not stand by silently forever while the things to satisfy their needs are within easy reach.

.…

So sayeth the great socialist FDR.

Obama knows how stupid his followers are. After all, they voted for him.

As a matter of fact they believe that the “fiscal cliff” is really a “Physical cliff” and Obama is trying to climb it.

Nuff said!

“We have put forward not only a sensible deal, but one that has the support of the majority of the American people including close to half of Republicans,”

President Obama is absolutely right. Like it or not, a majority of Americans support the President, support his economic policies, and think the GOP is a bunch of buffoons and hypocrites. Republicans are seen as more interested in protecting the rich than anything else.
