He did not use the AR-15 to shoot the kids in NewtownCan we please settle this once and for all? Several news reports say that he did:
NY Times, Dec 16:
But the AR-15 style rifle the most popular rifle in America, according to gun dealers was also the weapon of choice for Adam Lanza, who the police said used one made by Bushmaster on Friday to kill 20 young children and six adults in an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., in a massacre that has horrified the nation. In Newtown, in addition to the Bushmaster M-4 carbine, two handguns were found at the scene, a 10-millimeter Glock and a 9-millimeter Sig Sauer, although the rifle is what Mr. Lanza used, pumping up to 11 bullets into each victims body, according to the medical examiner. All three guns belonged to his mother, officials said.
NY Times, Dec 15:The gunman in the Connecticut shooting blasted his way into the elementary school and then sprayed the children with bullets, first from a distance and then at close range, hitting some of them as many as 11 times, as he fired a semiautomatic rifle loaded with ammunition designed for maximum damage, officials said Saturday... Dr. Carver said it appeared that all of the children had been killed by a long rifle that Mr. Lanza was carrying; a .223 Bushmaster semiautomatic rifle was one of the several weapons police found in the school. The other guns were semiautomatic pistols, including a 10-millimeter Glock and a 9-millimeter Sig Sauer.
CNN, Dec 16Using a Bushmaster AR-15 "assault-type rifle," the 20-year-old fired "multiple magazines" -- each of which contained 30 bullets -- to gun down six adults and children in two classrooms, said Connecticut State Police Lt. J. Paul Vance. He then took out a handgun and shot himself in a classroom as law enforcement officers approached, officials said.
One more:
WikipediaSome time before 9:30 a.m. EST on Friday, December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza fatally shot his mother, Nancy Lanza, age 52, with a .22 Marlin rifle at their Newtown home. Investigators later found her body, clad in pajamas, in her bed with four gunshot wounds to her head. According to the state's chief medical examiner, H. Wayne Carver, many of the victims were shot multiple times with the same "long weapon"the Bushmaster rifle.

...If you want to kill as many people as possible and you have two pistols, a shotgun and an AR-15 with several loaded magazines, which weapon are you going to use?....
It is unclear if he had an AR 15, why no real PR Releases from the PD? Newsflash, if he left the shotgun in the trunk maybe he went in with the pistols hidden under a coat and carrying a rifle or shotgun would have given people advance warning that is why he might have used the pistols and planned to return for other weapons...Did anyone see im carrying an AR 15? Did they call police? When did first call come in where are the 911 tapes?
keep jumping to conclusions without evidence, your liberal side is showing.

maybe clear to you, I want to see facts not news reports. I cannot believe anything coming from MSM or this corrupt administration
To: rolling_stone
Okay. Here's the Google
search I used to prepare the reply #121 above. Note that there are many, many sources that claim he used an AR15 to do the killings that I did not cite. Maybe you can use a Google search or something else to derive some facts that will satisfy you.

I support a bill to require every teacher in America to get firearms training and carry a sidearm while on school property. Those who refuse should be suspended pending psychatric treatment for Hoplophobia.
