I’ll take “Probable Cause” for $500, Alex.

The current gun laws are not "common sense" laws.

Cops should know better than to arrest folks for brandishing an unloaded magazine.

Were they just laying out on the seat? If so, you would think that with all the recent publicity about that specific thing, he would have them in a case or bag or something.

Anyone from there know what these random vehicle checks include?

These vehicle checks have been going on for decades in New York.

I was stopped on a freeway on-ramp and questioned intensely if I had any weapons in the car (I have Pennsylvania plates and an NRA plate-holder.

Such stops are perfectly legal thanks to MADD who started this with DUI checkpoints.

This is why many FReepers understand that the war on drunk driving has removed more liberties than most people understand.

“probable cause” was probably a Gadsden flag bumper sticker, or perhaps “molon labe”.

...he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check...

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." - U.S. Constitution. Amendment IV

We allowed "Sobriety Checkpoints" for safety's sake. It was just a short step from there to "random vehicle checks". Both were just veiled excuses for unconstitutional fishing expeditions.

On Sunday January 6th Staff Sgt. Nathan Haddad, a decorated combat veteran, was driving through Jefferson County New York when he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check.

When can we start randomly checking LEOs and elected officials?

TV reporter can brandish a 30 rd mag on TV in Wash DC, cops in DC gingerly explore with TV station attorney’s to determine if they can arrest reporter. Little people like us are immediately arrested and face charges, while the elites go unmolested and their attorney’s can talk with the approaching investigators. OWS is right, there is a 1 percent in this country that own most of the wealth and treated like royalty.

Do they go through your vehicle? Did they go through your belongings and open up any bags or containers?

And so it begins, the criminalization of honest citizens while felons remain unaffected. Time for the NRA and other gun support groups to step in and prove their worth!

No Boomer, it’s time for all freedom loving true Americans to stand up and take the country back.

It’s agonizing to watch this from the outside. I don’t understand what people are waiting for.
