I used to wonder how on earth the German Citizenry ever allowed Hitler to advance so quickly. Now I know.
Obama doesn’t want to be perceived as responsible for anything that happens in the country. Even as he succeeds in implementing huge portions of his agenda, he portrays himself as fighting the evil entrenched forces. That’s why he will never agree to any compromise on any issue. He knows he’s got a winning formula: keep pinning the blame for his policies on the Republicans, keep portraying himself as the hero fighting the evil conservatives, don’t allow a budget to pass or any other action that Americans might reasonable associate with him. And as Rush points out, it works because the media are absolutely complicit. (I know I’m just repeating what Rush is saying—I’m taking notes for future reference.)
That makes sense, CSM.
While tearing down the institutions that made our country great, he portrays himself as the one fighting to prevent that from happening. Amazing. And that’s why he wouldn’t get involved in the Benghazi incident—so he wouldn’t be held responsible. And Rush’s comment that that’s why he voted “present” during his congressional “career”—brilliant. And that’s why Obama let Pelosi write Obamacare, and why he never went out and sold it himself.

Yet mention Hitler in the same sentence as Obama and you get Godwin's Law, "The first person to mention Hitler, loses the argument." Well, I would reply that sometimes the comparison is appropriate, and citing Godwin's Law is just another attempt to stifle free speech.

Brilliant, my butt. If Rush is just now suddenly having this big revelation that people aren’t connecting Obama with the current situation in the country, why did he make a big deal (rightly so) about the need to educate the public in the days following the election? It’s completely obvious and nothing any of us hasn’t already figured out for cripesake. Rush just insults his audience when he goes into this kind of “jeez I was too stupid to realize this before” bit. How about getting on with the process of educating the “low information voters” then? Will Rush do anything more than yak about it or will he rise to the standard of his conservative mentors like Wm. F. Buckley and work to show the connections he he now finally sees are missing?

I am honestly thinking that the final nail has already been hammered 80% in! The reality is that if we lose to the Progressive D’s then we are done. In addition, if we lose to the Progressive R’s, we are done.
The Real Americans, Conservatives, have to fight the President, the media and Rove’s ilk. If we don’t get some more Tea Party Conservatives in the House to overcome Boehner and enough Tea Party Conservatives in the Senate to overcome Reid, then our Republic is officially dead.
She is on life support now and we can only hope that we have the right Dr on call and that the American public doesn’t run the ambulance off the road.....
So am I. And there’s another interesting observation by Rush: Obama’s complete lack of cooperation with Republicans is by design; he’s not going to allow anything to happen that might result in his being seen as responsible for government policies while Republicans hold the House. He has to be perceived as and outside, the brave challenger constantly at war with unseen forces (and Republicans) who are trying to destroy the county. Then if he wins the House in the 2014 election, he can spend the last two years of his presidency finalizing the implementation of his agenda: citizenship for all illegals, a level of taxation on gun ownership that will put guns out of reach of everyone except the very wealthy and criminals, the socialization of the private sector (including whatever’s left of private medicine and medical insurance companies), and income tax increases that will bring about the end of entrepreneurship in this country.
No one should make the mistake of thinking Obama is stupid. He knows exactly what he’s doing, and he’s carrying it out brilliantly. With the complicity of the media and the acquiescence of Americans successfully dumbed down by 50 years of Democrat-run government schools, he is an unstoppable force. Or at least I can’t think of anything that can stop him.
Geez, sorry to be so depressing. Please, somebody, prove me wrong.
