The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said Friday that he's interested in writing legislation this year improving background checks for gun buyers and cracking down on illegal firearms sales.
In an interview, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., provided little detail about his plans. But he said the federal background check system should be fixed to make sure more people with serious mental illnesses don't get firearms.

I agree. NY is a very liberal state. Why would they have to bus in even one person?
They complain about everything in NY all the time anyway. If it isn't one ridiculous complaint - it's another. The Occupy kids blamed Wall Street because the liberal colleges stole all their money. What did Wall Street have to do with it? It's the liberal professors who are getting rich off these useful idiots.
Liberals are never happy about anything. Self inflicted misery is all they know. Upstate brings in big hunting revenues. They're going to lose that because of the gun laws. NY is already broke because of all the freeloaders it has to feed.
And the democrats have the audacity to say they couldn't possibly cut the government budget. If these people are protesting rather than working, we don't need them. Their jobs - obviously - aren't that important.
Now we know what jobs can be cut. Just get the names of these people.

At first they were babbling about "reasonable" measures, but they are shedding that husk daily, and getting more shrill as people aren't being manipulated.
The more they tighten down the screws, the more they lose--the more people say 'Wait a minute, that isn't right!'.
So stand your ground, hold fast, stay resolute.
They are the ones who overreach, and they will do so in spectacular fashion if no one on our side wavers.
