Alton Brown looks very spiffy in his retro- sports jacket and the rest of his get up. If I had to go to the White House I would look like that. Moochie looks like she wandered off the set of “The Wiz”. Mario is himself and worth so many millions and increasing every day with his business ventures. A stupid lib but a solid capitalist. He is in the NY Post all the time about screwing his workers and paying off their lawsuits that have to do with taking their tips and overtime
Makes no difference.....last I understood, we are *all* equal. I expect to be on equal footing with equal access to monuments, my representatives, et al, no matter what my political stripe.
Stay tuned....I may be on the news, as having accidentally driven a Segway into the reflecting pool on the Mall. :)
Obama chose this course.
Do they make a “Big Wheels” version of the Segway?
‘Cause you know, the drag strip er reflecting pool isn’t that deep. ;)
Go tour the Bureau of Printing and Engraving instead. It’s more educational.
This little bureaucratic speed bump won’t deter us....there is so much to do...that this won’t dampen our enthusiasm.
See, Obama warned us that ordinary (non-rich) people would suffer due to the sequester, and now we cant tour the white House to see where Obama and Michelle and Tasha live.
This is real middle class pain!
Raise taxes fast before sequester strikes again!
Other than the room where they keep the China all of the Presidents used the tour sucks anyway.
Thank goodness it’s not that deep ....do they make an amphibious Segway?
.................geez.........apparently not! I didn’t know he died!
That’s on our list also. Wonder if they have officially switched from that special cotton/linen paper to Charmin?
FWIW, last time we were in the Capitol, we got stuck in an elevator with Jim and Sarah Brady. :(
I love the Daily Mail articles. They don't skip a detail. Maps and everything. Timelines. Drama. No matter what.
You know the kids in school who would pad their term papers out to make one page of substance into 20 pages (cough cough)? A lot of them must have gotten the last laugh, because look at the work they always have lined up over there. I saw one article about a puppy and kitten playing together at a shelter. The story - that *was* the story -went on for miles. Pics. Videos. The works.
At least the DM won't be affected by the obamasequester. :)
Whitehouse tours are conducted by volunteers. There is no cost to it. This is just a petty Obama payback.
The DM usually has articles *first* with more detail [as you say] than others.]
I became disenchanted with them, when they had a story about Newtown. It was so full of mistakes, that I began to doubt anything they might do in the future.
No golf trips for Obama until White House tours resume
Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert introduced an amendment to the Continuing Resolution that would not provide the White House with any taxpayer funds to transport President Barack Obama to and from any golf course until they resume White House public tours.
In a House floor speech, Gohmert said he filed the amendment with the House Rules Committee.
None of the funds made available by a division of this act may be used to transport the president to or from a golf course until public tours of the White House resume, the amendment reads.
That way we will both work together so the president will not able to take a golf outing that causes 341 more federal officials to be furloughed and lose their job at least temporarily, Gohmert said.
In the absence of a formal federal budget, Congress has to pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year.
Obamas recent golf trip with Tiger Woods reportedly cost almost $1 million in taxpayer funds.
Of COURSE they won’t cancel the Easter Egg Hunt, because it’s a photo op for POTUS/FLOTUS. WH tours aren’t. It’s that simple.
