Florida bill would require anger management courses for bullet buyers

Florida legislator wants anyone trying to buy ammunition to complete an anger management program first, in what critics say is the latest example of local lawmakers reaching for constitutionally-dubious solutions to the problem of gun violence.

The bill filed Saturday by state Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville, would require a three-day waiting period for the sale of any firearm and the sale of ammunition to anyone who has not completed anger management courses. The proposal would require ammo buyers to take the anger management courses every 10 years.

Looked up State Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville in Wikipedia. This is what is says about her career:

During her career, Gibson has worked as Congressional District Administrator and as a Business Community Liaison. Gibson sits on numerous committees and is affiliated with many organizations, such as Jax Pride; First Coast African American Chamber of Commerce; Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce; Blue Print for Leadership - Class of 1999; Jacksonville Community Council, Inc. (JCCI); Manufacturers North Community Advisory Panel (CAP); Citizens for Tree Protection; the Democratic Executive Committee; Jacksonville Chapter of the Links, Inc.; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter and the Northwest Jacksonville Community Development Corporation.

So to sum it up, she’s a lifelong bureaucrat in the socialist party (commonly referred to as Democrat). She doesn’t appear to have had a career in the private sector, where reality intersects with accountability and hard work.

I could give a damn what this idiot thinks. Perhaps she should consider moving to Venezuela, I hear there’s an opening for people like her that want to arbitrarily define/limit your rights.

Maybe the dems could add a lust management course for condom buyers. A gluttony management course for shoppers at grocery stores.

All sorts of ways to improve other people come to mind.

The communist “ethos” REQUIRES that the takeover be violent,
in order to purge the resistors among the populace.

There is no such thing as a peaceful communist revolution.

The best anger management in the world is derived by the existence of an armed society.

Note that people don't often fly into fits of rage and physically attack people who are much larger and stronger than they are. Why? Because the realization that they'll most likely get their butts kicked allows them to “manage their anger”.

Firearms allow everyone, not just the large and powerful, to have the same calming force on those who have anger issues or evil intent.

They keep pulling the noose tighter & tighter from many different angles and we have shown them we are not willing to stop them.

So I guess we just sit back and watch it happen like it has happened so many times in history.

And the young “teens” roaming the streets angry over not having a father - are they going to go to the classes? The members of the middle eastern death cult who are in a perpetual state of anger - are they going?

it would not matter.

local and federal politicians intentionally pass laws they KNOW to be unconstitutional because they know most people have no money to mount a court battle and most times politicians have ex parte access to judges that regular people do not have.

also keep in mind judges are NOT the friends of the peole or the law. Judges are creatures of their own ego maniacal power. (aka black robe fever)

FL had to pass a law which CRIMINALIZED local politicians who refused to remove unconstitutional second amendment local laws from the books.

This politician does not care about the law, rights, or anything. This politician knows only how to sell fear in order to gain power.

The public should fear THIS politician.

Ayn your words are so very true;

“We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.” Ayn Rand

We must fight for our 2nd Amendment Rights that endure our very Freedom.

One, or two, five or ten years from now, Audrey would likely be one of the ones that line you up next to a ditch and blow your brains out with the very same guns, the very same ammunition, and the very same 'reason' she exhibits now and blow your effing brains out. All because you don't see her side of compassionate reason and her vision of liberal Utopia..

Yabbut, she'd do it calmly and dispassionately--she wouldn't be angry.

It is the real emotionless killers out there who don't give a flying fig who are the really dangerous ones.
