Queen fights for gay rights: Monarch makes historic pledge

The Queen will tomorrow back an historic pledge to promote gay rights and ‘gender equality’ in one of the most controversial acts of her reign.

In a live television broadcast, she will sign a new charter designed to stamp out discrimination against homosexual people and promote the ‘empowerment’ of women – a key part of a new drive to boost human rights and living standards across the Commonwealth.

The charter, dubbed a ‘21st Century Commonwealth Magna Carta’ declares: ‘We are implacably opposed to all forms of discrimination, whether rooted in gender, race, colour, creed, political belief or other grounds.’

The ‘other grounds’ is intended to refer to sexuality – but specific reference to ‘gays and lesbians’ was omitted in deference to Commonwealth countries with draconian anti-gay laws.

The charter’s Gender Rights vow says: ‘We recognise that gender equality and women’s empowerment are essential components of human development and basic human rights. The advancement of women’s rights and the education of girls are critical preconditions for effective and sustainable development.’

Ben Summerskill, chief executive of gay and lesbian rights group Stonewall, said the Queen – who he called ‘a feminist icon’ – had taken ‘an historic step forward’ on gay rights. He said: ‘This is the first time that the Queen has publicly acknowledged the importance of the six per cent of her subjects who are gay. Some of the worst persecution of gay people in the world takes place in Commonwealth countries as a result of the British Empire.’

And he said her support for ‘women’s empowerment’ led to the ‘inescapable conclusion that she supports equal rights of accession’.

‘The Palace has finally caught up with public opinion,’ he said.

well you have to wonder how tired she is and how legacy driven she is now at this time.

Again, this is r/K Selection in action. Our species is just adapting its psychology to the present conditions, where resources are freely available.

If you look at the r-strategy in nature, (where it arises when resources are freely available and you don't need to compete for them), males mate promiscuously, and abandon females to single parent their offspring alone. As a result, females become big and manly to provision and protect the offspring they rear alone. Males evolve to flee from danger and avoid competition, and they become more feminine.

As the Sexual dimorphism reverses with manly females and feminine males, so does sexual preference. Males begin to look for manly females, and females begin to prefer feminine males, since that is what is most adaptive to r-selection. Add to it the advantage of spreading bet in r-selection (mating with as diverse a group of mates as possible, to produce lots of diverse offspring), and you get bizarre sexual proclivities as a survival advantage.

In humans, this appears to be slightly different than in nature. In nature this happens at the genetic level, but we seem to be more able to make the r/K switch on the fly, probably due to fluctuations in dopamine sensitivity which occur as resource availability varies, and dopamine release either becomes commonplace and copious, or rare and sparse.

Once the economic collapse comes and resource availability goes back down, this will head back to a more K-strategy psychology, where manly men will find gays much less tolerable, as more feminine females begin to cede the issue to those men.

The same thing happened in Rome, after its period of free resources courtesy of foreign booty and slave labor. Then it changed back, as it will here. The only question is when.

The lusts that drive homosexuality are the result of a spiritual disorder. It’s no accident that Sodom was crawling with it. God destroyed Sodom to show how displeased He was with that stuff, but God then also sent His own Son to die on Calvary’s cross to show how intent He was on redeeming anyone who was willing to accept it — even people who had wallowed in homosexuality for years.

The ideals of Virginia Act for Religious freedom are the very same ideals distilled into the 1st amendment -- and its prohibition against state establishments of religion and government theocratic coercion.

IOW - no Kings, Queens, or other theocratic tyrants propped up by a bunch of Eunuch termites in the occult vestigial temple woodwork.

In America, the relation between the Individual and their Creator is not within the purview of the state.
