From time to time, I will read of some outrageous scheme by which the mafia obtained or kept power and I will begrudgingly admit to myself that the crooked and vicious grabs for power, as malevolent as they were, were quite impressive and often strokes of brilliance.
I sometimes wonder what people like Al Capone or Lucky Luciano would have achieved if they had used their tremendous brain power for good instead of evil. Likewise, sometimes I look at the underhanded corruption that occurs in the Obama political machine and wonder what America could accomplish if these leaders would dedicate a fraction of the energy on improving America as they spend on maintaining power.
Chicago politics runs rampant throughout the Obama Administration and Obama has figured out that for liberal radicals to hold on to power, its best to go to the source of the power. To do that, President Obama has quietly nationalized elections.
Obama recently signed an executive order that assigns the administration of elections to the federal government. While states have been administering elections for centuries, Emperor Obama has seized the power to regulate these elections.
According to the executive order, the Presidential Commission on Election Administration composed of not more than nine members appointed by the President. Also, the commission shall identify best practices and otherwise make recommendations to promote the efficient administration of elections in order to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots without undue delay, and to improve the experience of voters facing other obstacles in casting their ballots, such as members of the military, overseas voters, voters with disabilities, and voters with limited English proficiency.
For those who dont speak corrupted legalese, allow me to translate:
The President has seized the power to decide who shall regulate the practices of elections. These unelected officials will be picked by the most-corrupt president in history and will be in charge of deciding what are fair and unfair voting practices.
Putting a corrupt Chicago politician in charge of deciding the efficiency of an election process is like putting a fox in charge of a henhouse; its a bad idea and the outcome is predictable.
How, on Earth, can we trust this man to faithfully execute the laws pertaining to who is getting elected when this last election saw rampant, barely-hidden examples of voter fraud?
This is the same administration that shamefully hindered the ability of our men and women in the military to vote by continually dragging their feet on counting overseas absentee ballots. This is also the same administration that was simply too busy to set up voter-assistance facilities on military bases, despite Congress allocating $75 million for the purpose.
As military members favored Romney by a 2-to-1 margin, it seems suspicious that so many military members would be hindered in their ability to vote.
This is also the same administration whose Justice Department refused to pursue charges against Black Panthers intimidating voters with clubs outside of voting stations in Philadelphia in 2008. While the Black Panther members were initially charged, the members never showed back up for trial and the Justice Department insisted that the case be dropped during the sentencing phase.
However, while Obama and his sleazy minions do the kind of dirty work that makes Joe Kennedy look like a Boy Scout, this administration still maintains that requiring someone to show ID at a voting station is, somehow, deeply racist.
Give me a break
Heres the problem: Barack Obama is a corrupt politician that, in typical Chicago tradition, is infinitely more concerned with staying in power than upholding the law. However, I loathe the idea of giving anyone the power to appoint federal overseers to run elections- Republican or Democrat. Its a bad idea that is places far too much power in the hands of one person.
As John Dalberg-Acton once noted, Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And a majority of the citizens have no problem with it. At least it is an EO, meaning in can be undone..in theory..
Fascism, pure and simple..
Fascist Socialism.
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Place of Chusing Senators.
Obamas appointed minions can suggest anything they want but they have no power to enforce those suggestions.
Also how are these commissioners going to be paid; are they going to be volunteers? Has Congress appropriated funds to pay them?
If the states bow down to this commission the legislatures and governors should voted out of office. Such abuses of power should be ignored and rebuked.

Any executive order can be undone by a future president.
This assumes, of course, that we ever see a good man or a good woman elected president in the future. After amnesty, good luck to that happening.
Ping for later. Need to send this to the attorney general.
Could this Federal Election Commission just decree that voter ID will not be allowed in states?
