President Barack Obama spoke on the phone with FBI Director Robert Mueller to receive an update on two explosions that occurred at the Boston marathon on Monday. Lisa Monaco, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, listen in.
And I mean T-H-E photo (errr...photo op).
The meme is already forming on liberal boards and will soon hit the media, I'm sure:
"Barry isn't reading My Pet Goat".
Oh no, he's taking charge. He's got his phone to his ear, is confidently leaned back, he's doing a commanding point with his fingers....and of course the photo is framed with the arm of the Statue of Liberty in the background.
His two minions - they look slightly scared, and riveted by his confident display. He's saving the day.
BTW, I can't help but notice that the heel of his left shoe looks photoshopped, where it is resting on the chair leg.
Anyway, enjoy - the evening news will be filled with info on how Barry is taking charge...and its not My Pet Goat. ount on it.

I heard his speech but was distracted. It occurs to me that he said a lot of things like “this incident” but never said it was terrorism. Can anyone confirm?

I bet he feels good about making that phone call to the mayor of Boston and offering to help — I bet is also hoping no one makes the comparison of jumping right to the brief and getting situational awareness of the what was occurring and not blowing it off like Benghazi!
