Tax, tax, tax. Spend, spend, spend.

They've never seen a tax they didn't like. If justice was truly served, they'd all be in prison.

Fine.

I'll be buying on Craigslist, to avoid taxes....until they jump on that, too.

A pox on their houses. Politicians never saw a tax they didn’t like, or think of first.

This sounds like it could be a nightmare for small businesses everywhere.

What happens if you get a statement from Iowa saying you owe them $2000, and another from Florida saying you owe them $700 when you believe you don’t. Will you have to defend yourself against all 50 states?

If the states are going to get $10.1 billion the Feds must be raking off double that to pay for the bureaucracy that will be needed to administer it. And of course there will be a "service" charge that will be discovered in 6 months to be added by the Feds cause they don't get enough.

Funny they don't mention who is going to administer the program.

And this is also a foot in the door to institute a national sales tax on top of all the other taxes we are forced to pay.

Maybe its time to go underground somewhat. Trade and barter with family, friends and associates and skip the government extortion’s whenever possible. Starve the beast ay?

ALWAYS, in All WAYS, it's about getting more revenue and NEVER about spending reductions. NEVER about reducing government fraud/waste/abuses. The Democrats can't grow the economy so they as usual, will tax whatever they can!

. Once again, increasing tax revenue for the ever expanding Government entitlement programs.

And once again….”The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money”

“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increases. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” - Barack Hussein Obama, Sept. 12, 2008

They’re quick to say “it’s not a Federal tax. If that’s the case why not leave it to the States? Just more Federal intrusion into the domain of the States.

And just how are all the Mom & Pop online stores going to know what the sales tax is supposed to be for tens of thousands of local districts?

what gets me is our side (they few we have) are always on the defensive trying to hold them off. I know our real numbers are small. But it would be encouraging if even a few of them introduced and spoke of TAX CUTS. It may be futile but we need to somehow try to shift the debate to growth and lower taxes - even if it is only a few people yapping about it and finding clever ways to get on air. Impossible given this environment? perhaps. but we should never give up
