Here is a comparison of the snow and ice charts published by the NOAA for April 27, 2012 and April 27, 2013. One year doesn't make a trend, but it is interesting.

Have you ever been to Florida? IIRC the highest point in the entire state is something like 300 feet above sea level.Not very good for skiing.
Good point. But you forgot that once the snow get to Florida the sea level will have fallen a good 200 or 300 feet. I'll bet there will be pretty of nice hill to ski.

Interesting comparison. I guess now we see why the climate scam artists changed the mantra from global warming to climate change. One good advantage, if we get the glacers, most of the libs will be frozen solid in their NE cities which I would view as a good thing.
The snow storms in southern Alberta have been pretty hard-a$$ for April. My boys have been griping. ;^)
Well, that would take care of Taxachusetts, New York, Chicago, and Seattle. But it leaves us with Maryland and California to solve. . .

The lefts fear of global warming is that they are aware a warmer earth will support more people.
In an Ice Age, cold dry wind blows hard directly west to east; the trees die out leaving cold dry grassland with lots of sand dunes all the way through Florida. The three bands of weather from the poles to the equator change to just two bands. Adequate rainfall for field crops will only exist near the equator. I think the massive chem-spraying is why we are colder and is to bring just that weather (Ice Age).

Interesting. It looks like an extended solar minimum might affect Canada more after all. I’m above 9,000 feet on the Rockies in CO, in a clear area just on the east side of some tall peaks near the Great Divide (some 14-ers). Had longer strings of nights with lows from -20, F (~ 29, C), to lowest, -39, F (~ -39, C)— lows to -20 or lower through April 18th.
Thermometer transducers here are covered against sunlight and reflective—not overly sealed/insulated in dark-colored, box-like structures like the other nearest ones (fairly distant from here with different terrain considerations). No other weather stations around here, *and this is an area very dependent on tourism for revenues.*
Will get a station hooked up to the Net, when I have enough power here (must install more PV solar components—no nearby power lines).
As you might already know, we’re at about solar max now. But sunspot activity has been unusually low, so we’re in an extended minimum for now.
There’s been some guessing that extended solar minimums might have something to do with extra fluctuations toward colder temperatures. That’s what I’m talking about. If true, we could see some awesome and marvelous cold temperatures within the next three or four years with some totally gnarly and burly ones in about 6 years or so. ;-)
It’s only speculation for now, but I’m modifying a water system, heating system and building special shelter for a vehicle, just in case (engine block heater consumes too much battery without the less costly power grid available) and dog shelter. We already use extreme boots, mittens, head coverings and goggles when out and about.
