Think gun crime is worse now? Not so.

SAN DIEGO — It is the subject of nightly television news reports, daily newspaper stories and prime time dramas. Gun violence is seemingly everywhere you turn.

Ask Americans how bad they think gun crime is, and 82 percent will say it is either worse than it was 20 years ago, or mostly the same, according to a Pew Research Center survey released this month.

But the numbers on gun crime show otherwise.

Firearm homicide and other gun crimes — including robbery and assault — are strikingly lower than they were two decades ago, a trend that has mirrored the decline of violent crime overall, according to new county and national data.

I wish I could find the old cartoon from the 1800s in which a criminal is handing out single shot boot pistols to kids so they could commit crimes.

I love scouting old cartoon sites for these rare gems, so this one will have to do.>/P?>P?

Conversely, crimes involving handguns have more than doubled since they were banned in the UK.

That's something you won't hear the leftist American media talking about.

Judging from the stories posted here daily, the Obama voters who have chosen crime as their career path are taking some serious hits.”Victims” have “evolved” and have started shooting back.

In San Diego County, gun homicides fell about 69 percent in the past 20 years.

Violent crime also dropped substantially in LA and Orange County in the past decade and a half...

I think it's time to downsize some major police departments

More importantly are the real numbers of criminals who are brought down by guns.

Remember that recidivism ends when the life of the criminal ends. Likewise, if the criminal is afraid enough of being shot so that he quits breaking the law, this ends his criminal life as well.

The threat of incarceration did not seem to matter as much, based on the number of repeat offenders. Many saw prison as little more than a break where they don’t have to do anything to get free food and a place to stay.

But longer term accommodations, six feet underground, don’t have the same appeal.

Come on now, tell the whole story — fascist liberal hyperventilating about gun crime is up over 238%!

Wow! (Exclamation, I’m not yelling at you) Those maps really illustrate how anti-rights asshats have to pick and choose to find a place that’s simultaneously lower gun and lower crime than another place such as the US.

I found that online and it certainly was an eye-opener. Tyranny is exactly the reason they want to disarm us.
