Lots of turmeric, cinnamon, red cayenne, garlic...
Exercise.

I heard that the drug companies made a “marketing” decision to get more people on statins.

"Lecithin. Works like soap and cleans your veins out slick as a whistle."
Many, many years ago I used to drink a concoction of Lecithin and Brewers yeast and I think something else, but I don't remember what the something else was.

My sister in law was bragging that after a recent physical her cholesterol was 120. She takes Crestor. I didn't mention that her body makes and needs cholesterol because she is the kind of person who is always right.
How low is too low? The only woman I know who has had a heart attack, had a cholesterol level, without taking drugs, of 120.

You can lower your cholesterol with shitake mushrooms alone. Find the smallest ones available and eat three per day for 30 days. Take them in whatever manner suits you. I imagine cooking them with high heat would be counterproductive.

Excellent.
Eat them raw?
The high heat stir fry method simply puts a cooked skin on them.Only takes about 10 seconds.
