The end result of letting Lerner leave the room was a link being established between Douglas Shulman, the IRS and the White House during the start of Tea Party targeting.
Since Lerner can be recalled to testimony, I think that’s a pretty good trade. There’s now an on-the-record link to Obama.
I’d have loved to have seen those “I plead the Fifth” soundbites too. They may still come, but perhaps now from much bigger fish than Lois Lerner.
The answer to your question is obvious.
So how about this.
Why don’t you tell me how Mr. Issa achieved victory today, because all I see is staggering failure.
Maybe my perspective is clouded and biased, because I am DAMN SICK AND TIRED of republican incompetence and cowardice, so I be very appreciative if you or anyone else can tell me how Mr. Issa or the American people came out on top as a result of today’s episode of Daryl Issa’s oversight committee.
Hard to know the reasoning of the committee. Maybe the couldn't hold her there all day. Maybe the rest of the committee made a deal of some sort. They got what they needed to out of her I think. She's tainted. Obama's down in the poles. They aren't bullies.
Time will tell if this was prudent.

As Limbaugh signed off today he reported Lerner had waived her right to take the 5th Politico was reporting and Issa was recalling her
1. You makes accusations against a Republican who is doing his job and yet; unable to back up your accusations.
2. Your posts read like the lying media writes about an event I witnessed myself.

What you posted isn't what happened AND you never answered my question of WHO in response to your accusation of Issa. So stop your pity plea while you refuse to back up your accusation to what you call 'obvious'.
What IS obvious - you had nothing to say about the non answers and the refusal to take responsibility from top officials in the IRS. Your focus is only on the GOP with name calling and accusations - just like barry.
You scored very badly. There is no going back now with your 'you don't care' attitude. Why are you here, then? This isn't about the GOP but the actions of the IRS that have been exposed.

Be mad, I do not care at all what you think, because the fact of the matter is Issa allowed her to testify, then he allowed he to take the 5th, then he allowed her to leave.
Meanwhile, Lois Lerner still has her job, her paycheck, her pension, her healthcare and her power. The IRS is still going to own each and every one of us through our government mandated health care, and the GOP hasn’t done one single thing to change that.
That’s incompetence.
Hopefully Daryl looks less incompetent next time, but somehow I doubt it.

I agree, but still the committee should have made her sit and give the 5th answer! I was outraged that she was allowed to walk, I called my congressman’s office immediately and requested that he convey to Issa that we the people want to hear her take the 5th over and over. And then I want them to call up the Sarah _____ who is now heading up Obamacare implementation.
