BUMP
Maybe "our' enemies and Panetta's 'enemies' are NOT the same groups. Seems the 'show of force' was to prove 3 or 4 well placed people could cripple the United State military. And that those same 3 or 4 well placed people could effectively lie about it to the American people. In short, the UNITED STATES military was castrated. Maybe to find out who would object?
Panetta didn't get to the spot he's in by accident... he's a bright guy.
The horror done to the military was intentional.
Panetta and Gates had full knowledge of alternatives. They chose to allow the men on the ground die. They chose to lie about it to the American public. The enemy was allowed to win - with full understanding to those in the world watching... Like a nuclear 'test' done to 'prove things' to friends and enemies alike.... this was a test.
Someone was shown our military can be castrated easily. The next time it might be a lot more deaths... maybe millions - while our military sits on their hands ...
honest to goodness, how does anyone use the phrase, might be lost ?!? under these
circumstances?
I use thew word MIGHT because I am not yet willing to give up
You might be but I am not
In a just world, the three you mention would have been judged and found guilty of treason and then hanged in the public square.
