If russia will stop selling Syria junk radar, Israel will stop being able to run around it. Russia just outfitted them a few years ago with junk. And a few years before THAT. Still Israel is able to take out any threat they find Syria working on, thank the Lord.

Putting SA-300 missiles in the Syrian theater makes it possible for Syria to Gas Israel with immunity. A serious move by Russia. Muslims are essentially cowards, they only strike when they have overwhelming odds, or have decided to suicide out of the repercussions of their actions.

By putting top level anti air missile systems in Syria, Russia is drastically escalating the Syrian War into a regional conflict. The S300 has a range of 150 kilometers, giving a battery inside Syria the ability to shoot down Israels Airforce inside Israel. The computer systems can track 100 targets and attack 12 at the same time on each battery. This system is also capable of supressing Israels Arrow defensive missile systems. This system would hand Israel to Syria and the Jihadi on a silver platter, and enable a first strike capability for a one shot win of he Middle East Jihad.

I'm so confused. If Russia doesn't arm Syria, AlQuaida gets more weapons from us. That, I'd think, would not be good for the future well-being of Israel. If, on the other hand, Syria uses the Russian weapons to destroy lots of terrorist thugs, that's good for Israel, isn't it?

I'd think that Russia and Israel would be on the same side on ths one.

The statement is that the shipment, not the ship, will be targeted. The ship’s captain should keep his crew aboard to avoid collateral deaths and dismemberments.

Distance from Tel Aviv to Damascus - 133 miles. Well within range of a Merkava tank battalion. Pretty hard to track airborne targets when Israeli tanks are smashing your radar antennas.
