BREAKING: CA Senate Votes to Ban All Semi-Automatic Rifles With Detachable Magazines
The Truth About Guns.com | 29 May 2013 | Robert Farago

Posted on 05/30/2013 3:51:28 PM PDT by Windflier

After Connecticut upped the anti ante, The Golden State Senate is doing its level best to reclaim its title as America’s number one slave state. To that end, “The California Senate on Wednesday approved a package of seven gun control bills, including background checks for people who buy ammunition, introduced in response to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.” Well, the latimes.com would say that wouldn’t they? Not to mention burying the big kahuna in the tenth paragraph. “The Senate also approved a bill that would outlaw the sale, purchase and manufacture in California of semiautomatic rifles that can accept detachable magazines. SB 374 also would require those who own such weapons to register them with the state.” Welcome back my friends to the nightmare that never ends. More details in the morning.

Treason is popular among California politicians. This is clearly unconstitutional, and I hope defending this law bankrupts their government before it is overturned. Evil should be punished - the voters who supported these nutcases, along with the petty tyrants who wrote this terrible law.

The Tanker doesn’t have the accuracy of the standard issue Garand, but for urban warfare it will get the job done and then some.

I am glad I am not living in CA, but it should alarm everyone how unconstitutional these State laws are getting. This may end badly.

I've been trying to convince my eldest son of that fact for years now. He was a Rush baby who wound up voting for Obama (after I moved to Texas).

I've told him that California is headed for armaggedon, but what do I know? I'm just a 60 year old Freeper who follows the socio/political situation in this country closer than 90% of the public.

Unconstitutional via US v. Miller and then recited in DC v. Heller.

Let us hope that this abomination is shot down by a federal court for that reason.

Another good reason for Conservatives and Libertarians to leave that anti-American hell-hole and move to the Free United States.

I’m ashamed that I was born there.

You too? I threw in the towel at 52 and pulled up stakes for Texas. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

Those in California government know they are treading upon us. They will move heaven and earth to confiscate any and all guns. That is their goal up the road.

Their fellow travelers in Washington are on exactly the same page. We must, and we will, resist!

Transport it out of CA to a state where it is legal. Establish residency in that state. Sell it as you see fit.

If you would venture outside CA once in a while, you’d find out that most Democrats in a lot of the country are more conservative than the CalGOP, and the CalDonks are farther left than the old Soviet Duma.

That state is lost and how any of their residents here can still support it is beyond me....

Being a native Californio, I understand people's natural desire to stand up for the place. There is still much good there, but all of it is rapidly being overwhelmed by an encroaching tide of leftist droids and illegals. That's the reality.

“What stupidity and evil. That would make most hunting rifles illegal, including the Remington 700.”

I dont think the mag ban applies to bolt action rifles.

“Shall not be infringed”

Patently Unconstitutional.

State laws cannot trump the Constitution. Imagine is CA required people to house soldiers. Or if they banned freedom of speech/assembly. How far would those last?
