Since Rush is finally saying something, I have to wonder what changed. Is the sleeping giant starting to stir?
Did one of the players finally get scared of the power of the Beast they've created?
Or, did someone finally get scared enough to overcome whatever retribution has been put in place to keep them quiet?
Maybe they have finally found a weapon that will kill the Beast...or at least wound it and take out a few of its acolytes.

Yes, many of them are.
As I have said to some people lately, if you believe that what is going on now makes sense and is morally right then you MUST believe that up until very recently the vast majority of people were insane and there has been a great awakening to sanity in the last few years. This means that my parents and all the preceding generations were as nutty as fruit cakes. It must be one way or the other, they cannot believe they are descended from right thinking, sane, morally correct people and at the same time think that what is happening now makes any kind of sense whatsoever.
I don’t think there is a war on terror. If there really was a war on terror, the borders would be sealed and citizenship and other visas would be difficult to obtain. High possibility groups would be monitored and profiling would happen on airlines. There would not be checkins on buses and trains, but there would be the requirement that all people of certain profiles check in with the government every week or month.
Limbaugh used to call people who made such claims 'kooks'.

I remember Rush speaking of the "Keepers Of Odd Knowledge" back in the Clinton and early Bush II years.
He’s doing an “autogolpe,” literally a “self-coup.” This means a situation where a dictator gets elected in the normal, even if heavily fraudulent, process, and then simply eliminates all the other independent branches of government, making everything subject to the executive. He then remakes the government in his own image.
For recent modern reference purposes, Hugo Chavez did this when he took over - and virtually every dictator, including Hitler, has functioned this way.
I've come to the conclusion that the belief that a normal election process even still exists, is quaintly naive.

The use of government to protect it citizens from threats from outside interests took a new direction with the rise of the Tea Party. The collection of data on Americans was used for political purposes against political threats. The Obama Syndicate was arming itself with the information it needed to wage war against the Tea Party if it was necessary. The IRS effort succeeded so well that the big guns never had to be used. The use of it to catch terrorist only puts a pretty picture on what they were really up to in regards to its domestic application.
They couldn't count on some "lone wolf staffer" to leak more classified information like the document dump we saw when the mere mention of "Joe the Plumber" made Senator Obama look bad after a debate.
Best to acquire detailed notes on EVERYBODY so that it can be faxed to the Journolists ASAP.
The original declared war on terror took on state sponsors of international terrorism (of which, Saddam was one).
Baraq SAID he was drawing a red line over the use of WMDs in Syria. Then the government used him and Ubama backed down. Game over.
After years of listening to Rush, I am beginning to turn away more and more. I am still a Conservative, but I cannot stand his increasing negativity. He has become a ‘coat holder,’ at a time when we need him to rally the faithful, By overloading his show with soundbites of the opposition and telling us how we are doomed, he is taking the easy way out.
