You right wing nuts don't need to worry ... cause those 10,000 requests were for a only million or so potential subversives each ... all of whom needed a good snooping!

Since the government couldn’t stop the terrorist brothers in boston even though the Russians told us who they were, why in the world do we think monitoring Facebook will keep us safe? Bizarre.

This is what the government will find out about my Facebook posts:

1) I Like Hooters.
2) Syracuse basketball games turn me bi-polar.
3) I don’t often drink but when I do it’s Dos Equis
4) Concert info on The Old 97’s, the Mavericks and the Jay-hawks
5) I have a lot of ‘friends’ from high school that are not really friends
6) I read a lot of the SBPDL links..
7) My family is nutty, dysfunctional(and Democrat)
8) Mrs. Lechien Rouge is a better shot with a Glock 19 than me..
9) Cooper’s in Llano TX has the best brisket. Period.
10) Most peoples post are rather trivial...

They need to break it down. Local police investigating missing persons and crimes do have legitimate reason to subpoena access to private Facebook data. Divorce cases also result is subpoenas.

Facebook is a tool for sharing information with friends and family. Most people post things without analyzing what they write.

Enter the government. It now has you by the short hairs. YOU WROTE IT. It can be used against you. Even if you posted something in jest or without thinking about the words you used. BUT YOU WROTE IT. Do you deny you wrote it? No, but I didn’t mean it. Tough. You wrote it.

GET IT? Casual communications among friends and family are seized and analyzed.

Government is full of and run by a$$holes.

How can these revelations fail to hurt Facebook’s profits?

Many prospective customers will decline to join Facebook knowing their every communication will be monitored by a government that has proven eager to use the IRS to target anyone it doesn’t approve of.

Facebook’s stock has fallen more than ten percent over the past month.

But what can Facebook do? If it refuses to hand over its information, the government can make life very difficult for the company, for example, by having the DOJ bring a frivolous but expensive lawsuit against it, like Bill Clinton did to Microsoft in 2000 when Microsoft failed to fill the Democrats’ campaign coffers adequately.

In that case, Microsoft’s stock plunged much more than ten percent, and helped cause the 2000 dot.com market collapse.

Of course, Facebook will refrain from advertising itself as a ‘’subsidiary of the federal government,’’ but that’s what it’s become.

“from missing children to terrorist threats”

These are legitimate uses, but what’s in between? This is only partial information and they’re not going to let FB divulge what we really want to know. How come they didn’t catch the Boston bomber before their event? What about mass shootings that they made so much hay about? Seems like a waste of money or they’re not using this for the reasons “from missing children to terrorist threats. “ How did the govt make these companies cooperate? Was it by force or was there quid pro quo?

Well a “government entity” had to request info from Facebook when my nephew was murdered last year. So it’s not just government snooping. It’s crime solving, too.

"I believe we were told we are being spied on TO PREVENT TERRORIST ATTACKS."

So Why Didn't NSA Catch The Tsarnaev Brothers?
