Cool. I was wondering how the flag would look like with additional states.

I see Obama’s mythical 57 state socialist republic.

I personally like the completely square ones or the ones with stars in all 4 corners. Two examples would be 54 stars and 59 stars respectively.

Not gonna happen.

They have a better chance to join Wyoming.

Texas is the only state that is “allowed” by original agreement to break up into additional states. This would be one way to frustrate the coming democrat attempt to change Texas into a democrat fiefdom via immigration.
However, if that were to happen, I don’t think the newly composed democrat legislature would approve it. So, it’s not gonna happen.

Weld County is one of the nation’s largest counties, and at nearly 3,000 square miles

One of the largest? Catron County, NM is more than twice the size, and Socorro County, NM almost so.

I like numbers 59 and 68 the best. Both fill up the corners best. Each has the most symmetry.

Go for it anyway.

Congress will not approve. End of attempt.

It would never get past the state legislature either. Democrats control both houses.

Weld County seems to vote Republican pretty consistently for President—so 3 electors for the Republican candidate and 2 likely Republican senators. Obviously Congress would never permit that.

53 makes more sense... it's a prime number... giving us "One nation, under God, indivisible..."!!!

Not bad...not bad. :-)

San Bernardino, Inyo and Mono counties in CA should combine and become a state

“But the more important issue is this: are you really willing to live in a country with only one square state?”

LOL! A geometry purist. I can relate to that. Actually, I live in a country with only one quadrilateral province, and it is neither a square nor a rectangle.

county commissioners are seriously entertaining asking voters to decide if they want to secede and form the state of North Colorado.

They ought to keep the name 'Colorado' and make the rest of the state change their name. They're the ones that suck.

"LOL! A geometry purist."

If I was a geometry purist, I would have called it a rectangle, and would prefer to live in a round state.
