Sen. Feinstein on Edward Snowden: "The chase is on"

"The chase is on," Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said Sunday on "Face the Nation," after the former National Security Agency contractor wanted by the United States for leaking top-secret government surveillance programs reportedly arrived in Moscow early Sunday morning from Hong Kong, where he had been hiding.

"I think it's a very big surprise," Feinstein said. "I had actually thought that China would see this as an opportunity to improve relations and extradite him to the United States. China clearly had a role in this, in my view. I don't think this was just Hong Kong without Chinese acquiescence."

The United States "doesn't know what happened," CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett explained, having crafted under the extradition treaty charges that would be applicable in Hong Kong. "It put together what it said and thought were really good charges that represented everything we could legally prosecute Edward Snowden under," Garrett said, "thought there was an agreement with the Hong Kong authorities.

"...It looks like there was a technicality," he continued....

> “Most citizens apparently see no problem in the federal government having unfettered access to their private communications.”

Not true. A majority of voting Americans do see a problem with it.

It is the media that puts the flippant attitude out there for consumption.

If a majority of voters[I have a problem with referring to them as Americans] do see a problem with it, why does obama currently occupy the white House? He was returned there in 2012 by these same voters, i.e. A or The majority of voters.

‘At a press conference to discuss the accusations, an N.S.A. spokesman surprised observers by announcing the spying charges against Mr. Snowden with a totally straight face.

“These charges send a clear message,” the spokesman said. “In the United States, you can’t spy on people.”

***

“The American people have the right to assume that their private documents will remain private and won’t be collected by someone in the government for his own purposes.”

“Only by bringing Mr. Snowden to justice can we safeguard the most precious of American rights: privacy,” added the spokesman, apparently serious....’

With statements such as this, it’s not just the media but the entire political class. All of them....

Perot-like voters sitting it out because they were not going to vote for the likes of Romney. It’s true, some very precise surveys and demographics have captured what happened in 2012. White blue collar Perot-like voters sat it out.

American will survive. Snowden did us a favor and this NSA spying on us will be an issue that we as Americans will grapple with until we get a grip on how to go forward. And we will.

You know, I have to acknowledge I live in enough of a police state, I have to go back and clarify the “load” I would wrap in my old metada.

That would be a “pantload” to all you misguided LE reading, looking for something, anything to justify harrassing opponents of the regime.

Mark my file “grumbler”.

It is my honest belief that difi is suffering from the first stages of onset dementia. Watch the video, if you can find it, of her losing her purse on the senate floor. Watch her in clips walking. Watch her gait.

Then there’s her fantasy life where she leads one nsa witness into claiming a warrant is necessary to access the metadata they have just collected with a socalled general warrant. And a fantasy “wall” making Edward Snowden a liar when he said he could access it all at the stroke of a key.

My money’s on Snowden telling the truth, albeit maybe too much of it.
