A teenage friend of Trayvon Martin was forced to admit today in the George Zimmerman murder trial that she did not write a letter that was sent to Martin's mother describing what she allegedly heard on a phone call with Martin moments before he was shot.
In a painfully embarassing moment, Rachel Jeantel was asked to read the letter out loud in court.
"Are you able to read that at all?" defense attorney Don West asked.
Jeantel, head bowed, eyes averted whispered into the court microphone, "Some but not all. I don't read cursive."
It sent a hush through the packed courtroom.
Jeantel, 19, was unable to read any of the letter save for her name...
During nearly two hours of cross examination Wednesday in which he tried to raise questions about her version of events and accused her of telling several lies under oath, including about her whereabouts during Martin's wake.
"Under oath, you created a lie and said you went to the hospital?" asked West.
"Yes," responded Jeantel. She said she lied because she didn't want to see the body.
Jeantel became increasingly agitated and scoffed when West told her that she would have to continue testifying.
She is seen as a critical witness to the prosecution because she is the only person able to say that Martin claimed that he noticed a strange man following him and that he was scared. Jeantel said Martin described the stranger as a "creepy ass cracker."
Jeantel said Martin, 17, was walking home during halftime of the NBA All-Star Game when he became unnerved because he was being followed.

Whoever ‘scans’ local papers for ‘the cause’ had Zimmerman convicted the day he/she pulled the NAME out of the local newspapers.
When one sees the name ZIMMERMAN, think Ryan or ‘double N Jordan, both lily white members of the Washington Nationals.
One can imagine the horror when the first pictures of GEORGE ZIMMERMAN appeared, the shock of seeing a NOT SO WHITE guy. ‘They’ decided to run with it and then came up with the darkest(lighting), sinister picture they could find of him and went back to the 12yo T. Martin.
It really went south when ‘they’ had to invent a NEW RACE, WHITE HISPANIC, which ironically is what the ‘SPANISH’ people were trying to avoid when ALL Latinos, regardless of color or texture or place of birth were referred to as Spanish and ‘we’ invented a new ‘race’, Hispanic.
Didn’t (and don’t) the Amish still refer to ALL OUTSIDERS as English
People talk of riots no matter what the decision is, you don’t suppose the whole idea of the ‘push’ was to finally get the Blacks and Hispanics to do battle with each other do you?
That really works out in the ‘pea brained mind’ of the Jackson/Sharpton crowd....and WE probably ‘worry’ of the two groups banding together against ‘us’...when in reality want the ‘other groups’ to cut down each other first.

I was helping a student study for his social studies test, which was about the economy and social hierarchy in the southern states before the Civil War. We talked about how the Bible was claimed as a source for Blacks being sub-human, and that led to the importance of keeping slaves from knowing how to read - because as long as they couldn’t read they had to take the word of what others told them, and people could spin them a huge lie. If they had been able to read they could have seen that the Bible says no such thing.
It is EXACTLY like the culture in America today. As long as people have no way to get access to the truth themselves, they have to just believe what the media tells them. It’s the historic way of keeping people ignorant and pliable.
It’s degrading, and it isn’t just about who can read and who can’t, although being able to read at least gives a person the opportunity to hear from the alternative news sources which ARE telling the truth and presenting evidence. There are a lot of smart, educated, capable people who are still as ignorant as a post because they STILL simply rely on what the news media tells them - because they won’t read the alternative news sources which are refuting the claims of the liars and reporting facts and evidence that the liars censor out.
And this goes on in colleges too. Students are required to use search engines which have censored out alternative news sources - and actually even official government sources - which give documentation and evidence. So even though those students can read - and are REQUIRED to read - they are not allowed to use sources that have credible documentation, but are stuck on the “MSM plantation”.
It’s a scam. So much about our society is a scam. And people of all races, socio-economic classes, education, etc are allowing themselves to be “useful idiots” because they simply trust what the media “masters” tell them, rather than read for themselves and find out they are being manipulated. At this point our government has been caught lying so many times they are about as credible as this gal who can’t read cursive but says she wrote this letter in cursive. But as long as people don’t know that (or care), ALL OF US are stuck on the corrupt government plantation, because those of us who know can’t do anything about it as long as our “leaders” fear the reactions of the ignorant majority.

WOWSA! So how did the lawyers know she couldn’t read cursive? Brilliant detective work on their part to find something so simple to impeach the witness.
Has the defense asked who wrote the letter for her?
I can’t even imagine not writing in cursive.
Wikipedia says she’s eligible for parole in 2027.
If her reading skills are still in the First or Second Grade range, it’s a good bet that she also can’t read an analog watch.
The result of those 3 cartloads of multi-colored boxes that are always in front of me at the warehouse store of my choice. They are usually loaded into a late model SUV that I know I couldn't afford.
Who & why would anyone riot after Zimmerman receives his predetermined GUILTY verdict?
Here's my take on all of this. Under Fla's "stand your ground" law, a family can not sue the shooter for "wrongful death" unless charges are brought against the shooter.
Initially, based on the original investigations, law enforcement found no reason to charge Zimmerman.
The family then got the Justice Brothers and Crump involved in order to pressure the state to bring charges against Zimmerman thus opening the door for Crump's wrongful death legal team to go after Zimmerman....
It only takes one of those women on the jury that has a little common sense and Zimmerman walks.
That's my hope anyway.
I believe the state was pressured into a trial to begin with, by the Sharptons/Jacksons of the world, I also believe that they would never do a retrial after a hung jury.

One, it makes it look like the Feds are not anxious to target Zimmerman. After all, they let the process play out, right?
Two, it depletes Zimmerman's coffers and put him in jail (at least for a while). If he applies for a job in the future and the form says “have you ever been arrested for a felony” he has to check YES. This case has to really be a drain on him and didn't they also charge his wife for perjury wife too?
Three, it adds the “where there's smoke there's fire” effect in the minds of the jury pool for the federal jury.
Finally, when civil rights charges are brought and he's convicted, in essence not of murder but racial profiling, then Obama looks like a real hero to his base.
To you and I this case should never have been brought. To Obama, it makes perfect sense.

Sullen, petulant, hateful, lying azzwipe. She should go to jail for perjury, obstruction of justice, and attempted murder (murder because she willingly and knowingly provided false testimony under oath to try to get Zimmerman a lethal injection).
That hate-filled skank is a racist, a criminal, and a serious threat to society. And, boy, is she ever cute, huh? Ten bucks says she was born smiling...

True. And even if he is exonerated in this trial, the Justice Dept has the civil right case ready to go. Remember Rodney King?
