Sarah Palin floats idea of leaving the Republican Party

She has it backwards. She wouldn't be leaving the Republican Party, the Republican Party deserted conservatives a long time ago.

She's just getting the memo.

Hmmmmm...I'm in and would be contributing BUT I wonder how many of the 275 so-called Republican Reps & Senators would make the change before the 2014 election cycle.

50%, 40%, 30%...how many?

Let's try to name them, with a probability percentage...

I constantly get junk mail from RNC asking for donations, which I toss. If a large number return their postage paid envelopes with a message- “Waiting for the Freedom Party”, that would be a great wake-up call.

“I love the name of that party — the ‘Freedom Party,’” Palin said. “And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, ‘You know, what’s wrong with being independent,’ kind of with that libertarian streak that much of us have. In other words, we want government to back off and not infringe upon our rights.

Hear, hear!

If liberals keep gaining strength in the GOP I see little else that we can do at this point.

I'd back a Freedom Party led by Palin and other true conservatives.

Why not just join the Constitution Party?

http://www.constitutionparty.com/

The more we are splintered, the less effect we will have.

The other problem is even if a majority of Repubs, non-voting conservatives and independents switch to a truly conservative party, the remaining “moderate” , RINO, and liberal Republicans will steal off enough of the vote to give the Dems a win every time.

Frankly, I see no solution.

But I do love Sarah. She’s the only one telling it like it is. Well, add Alan Hunt, E.W. Jackson, and Dr. Carson.......

Not surprising. From the very beginning of this drama, the Repubics have consistently shown a visceral hatred for Sarah, just as they have for all Conservatives. Nothing new. I can’t remember a time when this wasn’t the case, going back to Landan and Hoover. Other than Reagan, the last Conservative in office was Coolidge.

I already left over Mitt Romney, and with the names Jeb Bush and Chris Christie being floated about, do nothing John Boehner enabling this administration, this immigration debacle, etc etc I am more and more convinced I’ve done the right thing.

As tempting as that sounds such a move would make Osama Obama & Pals (male, female and “none of the above”) stain the front part of their underwear...if ya catch my drift.

I have angrily attacked those not supporting the republican candidate, as our only option.

With this senseless cave to illegals from other countries, I’m done. The GOP sold out America, I have no choice but to abandon them.

If I turn on them after 60 years, I’m pretty sure they have cut their own throats.

Sign me up!

I’m all in.

Sarah Palin is a natural born leader. She is the 21st Century George Washington. Now let’s all hop in the row boats and prepare to cross the Delaware.

Then let’s all vote to move the Capital to Fargo North Dakota and rename the town PALIN. The libs couldn’t stand living there for an hour.

The DC GOP should be renamed the K Street party because Bonehead and Mitchy and Ryan ,Rubio,McLame, Cantor, do there bidding and nothing else .
Hannity, BOR,Medved all do there bidding too .
Let’s see how many votes and marches K Street party can inspire !

I'm in! This is a clear, concise name which might also attract the younger crowd in light of the recent NSA scandal.. Sounds great! 'Freedom Party'.. I like it. The party platform should include 'privacy' as a sacred right of every American under the Bill of Rights. I think this particular element of the platform is THE way to bring the younger demographic into the party. Take note, Sarah!

I say, it has to start somewhere, so lets get the ball rolling. Damn the Press full speed ahead! I don’t like a 3 way election, but if we can have a run off of the top 2 I’m for it! We have to test the waters. Its us against Soros’s money that is being bet on his horse Hillary.

Jim, I’m sick of the establishment repubicans telling me that if a third party is formed it will insure democrats are never defeated.

We don’t have anyone representing true Conservatives! Maybe after a couple of elections where the third party splits the stupid GOP-e, just maybe they will get the message.

I have argued this same position, but I am fed up with the way Conservatives are treated and it is time to go with a third party!

I’m in, and Mrs. Horsey is too!

If Boehner pushes this atrocity of an amnesty bill through, I’m gone.

I’m hanging in there by a thread right now.

Yes, it’s time. I believe a large plurality of historically Republican voters want what their party has always promised, but will no longer deliver: smaller government, lower taxes, traditional values and a strong national defense.

When GOPs such as Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio betray us and deliver our country into the hands of those who would destroy it, it’s time.

When GOPs such as John Insane and Linda Grahamnesty aren’t ridiculed and shunned by a sizable representation of the GOP Congress, it’s time.

When GOPs such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are name-called and marginalized by their own party, it’s time.

When faux men with no core principles, such as Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell are the leadership of the party, it’s time.

The Republican party of our fathers no longer exists. When more than 50% of the Repubican voters polled say they do NOT want this amnesty bill, but their own party refuses to acknowledge their voices, it’s past time.

There’s nothing left to gain by staying in a party that’s making it clear they’ll give us another Romney or McCain-type candidacy in 2016, if not something worse. They will lose again anyway, so let them do it without us. A new party, one with kindred spirits of Sarah Palin, willing to launch it and work their hearts out for it as though the future of our nation depended on it (because it does), would at least give us something from which to build.
