The judge is just following orders and is doing anything she can to tilt the scales towards conviction.

We no longer have functioning courts.
We no longer have a functioning gubment.

It's all going to burn down very soon. Be ready!

Oh hi NSA!

Question: If Zimmerman is convicted, is he jailed until they hear for mis-trial? I suspect yes.

He can’t go to jail and live.

Wow, even this behavior doesn’t show some kind of bias or favoritism?

A woman judge. Great. What do we expect but hysterics from a woman—especially one invested in the pressure from “above” to convict this innocent man? I’m a woman, and I know this. Everyone can bite me if they disagree with this assessment about a woman judge.

Disgraceful judicial conduct throughout; writ large now on video for the entire world to see.

Hope you’re proud of yourself, “Your Honor”.

She’s biased partly ‘cause she’s scared. Nothing to stop them from coming after her if there’s a verdict favorable to Zimmerman. He will have a price in his head, so will she, and the jurors. It’s a no-win situation.

The judge did not storm out of the courtroom imo. However, friction between the judge and the defense was very apparent, imo, the defense making it clear that it needed more time to prepare for the next day than the judge would allow.

This judge has been a joke from the start. She is doing anything she can to help the state convict this innocent man.

Poor Zimmerman. I wish none of this had happened.

She’s part of the government machine...She’s basically on the same payroll as the prosecution and is totally biased towards the defense.

The government’s case failed big...The judge has no credibility left..

Yeah, just like a woman. Doesn’t want to hear logic and reason. Gets frustrated and leaves in a huff.

Well Zimmerman definitely has grounds for a mistrial.

Zimmerman’s acquittal is going to be a bitter, bitter pill for the man who looks like the father Trayvon would have had if Trayvon had a father.

That’s a good post. The defense is rightfully up to here with the corrupt judge.
By the way, that’s the first I noticed Zimmerman is left-handed.

A Comment from a career prosecutor on Legal Insurrection....

I was a prosecutor in New York and California for over 25 years. I tried over 100 jury trials, including capital and non-capital murder cases.

The evidence regarding TM’s fighting history, proclivity and prowess is clearly admissible, especially in light of the evidence introduced by the prosecution regarding GZ’s MMA training.

Simply stated, if the judge excludes this exculpatory evidence it will certainly constitute evidentiary error and possibly a violation of GZ’s federal constitutional rights to present a defense and to a fair trial, guaranteed by the 6th and 14th amendments.

If the judge excludes this highly relevant, exculpatory evidence, the only question on appeal (assuming GZ is convicted) will be whether, because of the strength of the prosecution case, her erroneous ruling was “harmless” beyond a reasonable doubt.

Since the prosecution’s case is far from overwhelming. And since the critical issue in the case is self-defense. And since the evidence regarding TM’s fighting goes directly to the question of self-defense. If the judge excludes this evidence, it is a virtual certainty that any conviction that the prosecution obtains (and that is a questionable assumption given the prosecutor’s burden to disprove self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt) will be reversed on appeal.

My prediction: After sleeping on it, and having time to cool off from a long day in court, the judge will come to her senses and do the right thing: Admit the evidence regarding TM’s fighting.

That is appalling.

Someone correct me If I am wrong (not having any legal experience at all) but it sounds like the defense is angry because they feel that evidence was not disclosed to them as it should have been by law, they have legal testimony to that effect confirming it, and it is important evidence.

More importantly, she gets angry because if so, it is clear this is happening under her watch and reflects directly on her.

Am I seeing this correctly?
