I believe Zimmerman will either walk or there will be a mistrial.

Well, it won’t be David Horowitz.

"A Pointless Trial"

I wouldn't agree it's pointless. It's a political persecution of an obviously innocent man by the State of Florida. It is, in fact, an attempt to lynch him.

This case is about whether it is alright to use a gun against someone using only his fists.

It’s an anti-gun prosecution. It’s a case for juror nullification against the law, not a case for the application of the law as it is written. It is an attempt to allow compassion for the so-called victim to supersede the law. It is an attempt to do an end run around the right of self defense using a firearm, to require that those of us who are physically weaker must not be allowed artificial means to counter balance that weakness in any altercation. Taken to extreme, it’s the same as the philosophy that’s foisted on nations illegally attacked by others: the response must be balanced, it cannot be overwhelming or excessive. In other words, it cannot be severe enough to prevent one’s attacker from recovering to rise and attack another day. It’s bull hockey is what it is, and is a recipe for disaster, suicide. It treats warfare and the like as if they were sports matches governed by gentlemen’s rules, rather than life and death battles for survival. Such is the type of thinking that cost the British the American Revolution.

I hope you are correct.

If Zimmerman is found guilty (even on a lesser charge) then the message that goes out is the black youth can attack whites and whites had better not defend themselves.

I fear in these days of “compromise”, he will be found guilty of manslaughter. I hope I am wrong.

"artificial justice"

The lib media greatly desired a case like this. One showing a racist "white" person (hopefully also a Tea Party member) deliberately murdering a black person in cold blood. There is so much black on white crime that is almost totally ignored by the media, they salivate about cases like this. With Zimmerman they thought they had an open and shut case of a white person, Zimmerman, running up to an "innocent" black person, Martin, and gunning him down.

And then everything went south. Zimmerman is not only not a typical white person, he's a Hispanic (a "white" Hispanic) with black ancestors. Then it turns out Martin probably started the fight that ended with his death. Now libs are disconsolate. They don't really care about Martin, they care about pushing the cause. Which keeps them in power.

When you see a case like this that should NEVER gone to a trial, as proven daily by the PROSECUTION, you must wonder WHY. It almost looks like “they” WANT the result to spin out of control. I wonder about “they”.

I may be in the minority here, but I fail to see how GZ has proven his innocence beyond a reasonable doubt.

I can’t believe that statement. It indicates total lack of understanding, in fact ignorance.

He is not required to prove innocence at all. The proof must be provided by the state, proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

It’s a good thing you are not on the jury

Does the verdict need to be unanimous for aquital or will one guilty hold out force a mistrial?

Crayon's parents were beyond ineffective in raising him, sadly, they were part of the problem.

Best post from yesterday's trial thread was, "What parent, when their child is missing, makes their first call to juvi?"

innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof is on the prosecution.

“1. All 2. Woman 3. Jury.”

That’s why I think Zim will be convicted. If you read the comments after any news story about the trial the vast majority of women (not just the minority ones) are pro St Skittles. There is also the very strong probablility that if these women vote to acquit their lives will be in danger or at least they will be demonized in the media. If they convict they will be heros, maybe get a book deal, etc.

You are absolutely correct. He has not proven his innocence beyond a reasonable doubt. But as other posters have pointed out, the burden of the case is on the prosecution, not the defense. GZ only has to create reasonable doubt win acquittal. And the prosecution has done that for him.

I am confident because the presecution simply have no case against Zimmerman, rather the defense pretty much is holding the full deck of cards. Either he walks or it is a mistrial.

The presecution “blew” the case against Zimmerman and no doubt he does walk.

Don't tell Nancy Grace that. Her head will explode.

She's really jumped the shark on this case.

The point was to postpone the race riots until after the 2012 elections.

That was the second item on the agenda list. The first was to create outrage in the black community (especially in Florida). By personalizing the case with the "If I had a son..." comment (a more calculated statement than many realize), Obama energized the black vote where he needed it most.

Let no crisis go to waste, right? Well, Team Zero (which includes Sharpton, Jackson, Crump, et al) couldn't wait for one to come along, so they turned a non-crisis into a Category 5 shitstorm. Landfall is predicted for sometime in the next several days. Damage could be widespread.

“Not Guilty on all charges and they should carry him out on their shoulders.”...

While I agree 150%% that Zimmerman is NOT GUILTY, the day will mre than likely come when UNFORTUNATELY, Zimmerman will be “carried out” in a body bag, not on their shoulders. The rabid animals will get their revenge whatever it takes. Of that I believe.
