Maybe, maybe not. I read the judge’s instructions to the jury, and the application of the affirmative defense of self-defense to the manslaughter charge was not spelled out as clearly as its application to the second degree murder charge. If they were asking for a clarification of that point (and got an honest description of the law in reply) it might be good news.

If they asked about Manslaughter, it means 2nd Degree is out

One of Zimmerman’s friends said on Fox that he has the inside track??? on the jury (don’t know if I believe this), and they are 5-1 for acquittal, 1 holdout for manslaughter, thus the question.

The LAW should still be on GZs case on the charge with manslaughter, but sadly I doubt they are going with what the law is.

“... soon after police told him not to follow the 17-year-old.”

They did no such thing. Zimmerman never talked to the police. He talked to a civilian 911 dispatcher who works for the city, not for the police.

There could be a verdict. Reports are the media have been moved to the first floor of the courthouse. The jury is still there, as are the lawyers and all the court officials.

Looking worse and worse for Zimmerman. There has to be at least one juror who is rejecting self defense. This is sad.

It’s unreal. The defense did a magnificant job, and the prosecution did one of the lousiest jobs imaginable. But it still looks like Zimmerman is off to prison.

It not at all. Man, I hate to think that Z must offered up(jailed for a long time) to appease a certain segment of a certain race. Sucks I thought we as a nation had gotten past race as much as I thought.Guess not. Not enough of them on our side.
