Jimmy Carter says the jury made the right call in finding George Zimmerman not guilty.
I think the jury made the right decision based on the evidence presented, because the prosecution inadvertently set the standard so high that the jury had to be convinced that it was a deliberate act by Zimmerman, that he was not at all defending himself, Carter told Atlanta NBC affiliate WXIA-TV.

Millions upon millions of Americans have been waiting breathlessly for the wisdom of The Sage of Plains.
Beat me to the Stopped Clock moment.
Actually, I’m not so sure about that broken clock. It sounds as if Jimmuh’s saying that if the Prosecution had been smart enough to accuse Zimmerman of DEFENDING himself, he would have been found guilty.
Even a nut finds a blind squirrel now and then.
Or was it a rabbit?

It must be upside down day..
Even when he reaches the right conclusion, he does it with faulty reasoning.
Jeez, first Dipshitowitz and now this buttwipe? I am starting to question my own judgement.
Running counter to the expected norm made sure that he did.

Jimmy must have found out that Zimmerman is NOT Jewish, so its OK to defend him..either way, broken clock moment
Not only Dershowitz, but Gloria Allred and Leo Terrell all agree the jury made the right decision..its a world gone mad
I need to take my Thorazine and find my aluminum foil!
This is obviously some sort of left-wing jedi mind trick to get us to fall in line with the sheeple.
It is obvious that aliens landed an UFO at Plains, Ga., kidnapped Carter and replaced his liberal brain with something that worked at least once.
"I think eventually, no matter how deep the moral feelings and personal feelings might be among African Americans or others, with time passing they start seeing what can we do about the present and the future and put aside their feelings about the past," Carter said. "I think that's what's gonna happen in our country."
IOW, like Paula Deen, Jimmy has used the n-word in the past. And as an aging Southerner, he can see how far we've come in the last 70 years and he's bone tired of the claim of "400 years of slavery and counting."
A decision so simple, even Jimmy Carter can make it.
