Conservatives should NEVER be happy any American city is in the shape of Detroit.
If so called “Conservatives” cannot pull their heads out of their asses and offer solutions for all Americans in all cities they deserve neither the respect not the votes of the American electorate..
I agree with you for the most part. We should not be laughing at an atrocity like this.
But I also believe the best solution for Destroit is to raze it and turn it back into pristine Michigan woodlands. Put a plaque somewhere in it to memorialize what happens when the takers drive out the makers.
Oh, they were offered a chance to fix things, but their skin color or party affiliation wasn’t ‘correct’.
Laugh THEN bull-doze it to the ground. Salt the Earth, and setup a museum to show how Socialism fails EVERY TIME.
The solution for Detroit IS its agonizing death. That’s the way out. That solves everything.
Cities aren’t people. They don’t have immortal souls. It’s OK to laugh at their ‘deaths’.
We’re laughing at Detroit because it’s funny to watch socialism crash and burn.
We also laughing because the unbelievably stupid voters of Detroit need to hear our laughter and to realize what their sloth, envy and causal racism have won them - lasting shame and ignominy.
Don’t apologize! Detroit is dying and needs to completely die before its toxins can be purged. This is creative destruction. There will never be a New Detroit until the Old Detroit is dead. The current train-wreck is just the first step towards the rise of a new city.
Detroit's problems originated in Detroit. They may have been exacerbated by decisions made in Lansing and Washington, but they originated in Detroit. The solution to Detroit's problems will also originate in Detroit ... or not at all. Lansing and Washington cannot fix Detroit. Nor can California or Iowa or West Virginia. Only Detroit can fix Detroit.
You want solutions? Here's a solution, that works for all Americans (not just those in cities): FREEDOM. Constitutional, limited government. Very limited government. Respect for private property, private industry, private enterprise, and private labor. Stable rule of law, not capitulation to the demands of violent mobs.

Well said. Like it or not, we are all in this together. So this is a time for reflection, and for offering serious solutions. It is not a time for childish giggling.

If you want to "offer solutions" to the same concentrated Democrat parasite nests ("cities") that routinely give us scum like the African communist Ubama as well as every single Democrat senator, knock yourself out.
