One man told on himself by “butt dialing” police.
Another man surrendered to police after they found him at a friend’s house.
And now a third man, connected the May 5 murder of Nicholas Walker while he drove on Interstate 95 in Oakland Park, has turned himself into police.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says Michael Depre, 25, of Pompano Beach, surrendered at the Broward County Judicial Complex Monday.
Depre joins Scott Simon, 24, and Ronel Desinor, 27, in facing first-degree murder charges for Walker’s death.
In the early morning of May 5, a fight broke out at the Waffle House between Walker and another man. A few hours later, Walker crashed his silver Buick into a guard rail along I-95 in Oakland Park. After Oakland Park Fire-Rescue put out an engine fire, they discovered Walker had died of gunshot wounds.
Simon was arrested May 21 after police say he had “pocket dialed” 911 minutes before Walker was found dead. He was recorded detailing his plans to follow the victim home and kill him. At the time, police said Simon was the mastermind, but they were looking for two other men involved in the shooting.
On June 24, Desinor turned himself in. And on Monday, Depre did the same. Police have not revealed their roles in the killing.
“At this point, they are not looking for anymore suspects,” said BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter.
I’ve read several stories of butt-dialing getting people caught over the last couple of years. Makes me wonder about cell phones, NSA...stuff like that.

I’d never heard the term “butt dial” until earlier this evening (at a church event, believe it or not!) nor had I head of a “titty dial”.
Hate to think of the terminology if guys wore their phones in their crotches.
