Translation: People aren't sufficiently depraved to appreciate this content yet, we have to give them more time. We'll try again in a few years.

no one even wonders why i turned off the tv 2 years ago.
the propaganda was getting far too overt and obvious
you’re subjecting your children to the same propaganda if you don’t shut it off

"Ryan Murphy, in his shows, likes to push an idea in every episode, something he's grappling with and thinks people should be thinking about and is more issue-oriented in that way. And maybe that didn't help it.In the words of Sam Goldwyn, if you want to send a message, use Western Union (or whatever its contemporary is today). Is there any sit-com on TV today without a gay character or characters?

if anyone ever questions you about the ‘reality’ of the homo culture... tell them to turn off their adult filter, go to google images and type:
folsom street fair
pelosi’s district and the homo community’s dream for America

NBC Execs Say Canceled 'New Normal' May Have Been 'Ahead of Its Time' LOL! These people will NEVER get it through their heads people watch TV to be entertained, not to be lectured.
They always try to pass off their failures as being to far above we mere ignorant mortals for us to understand.

I enjoyed it at the beginning - great music. Then it became Gay 101, then Gay 401, then Gay grad year.
Same here, I quit mid season two.

It’s not ahead of the times, it’s behind the times. The whole gay thing is so last year. BORING!
To: sten
This is promoted as normal behavior. People peacefully protesting outside of an abortion clinic or at a TEA Party rally are considered to be racist, homophobic, intolerant, narrow minded, dangerous terrorists that warrant IRS harassment.

"With Sean Hayes' gay sitcom on the way, executives try to explain why Ryan Murphy's comedy failed" Because nobody watched it. And there were good reasons for that.

I cut my cable off two years ago. I save $80 a month (about $20 of that went to freaking TAXES) and I haven’t missed it. Now it’s Cook’s Country, Antiques Roadshow, and my Kindle loaded with historical novels. My IQ has improved (and so has my cooking.)

Several ‘agenda’ driven programs got cancelled because people just didn’t watch.
Some 127 programs ended or were cancelled (all cable + broadcast) during the 2012-13 season.
31 broadcast network programs were cancelled.

Network execs were not thinking much differently when they canceled Hee-Haw and The Beverly Hillbillies four decades ago.
To: Colonel Kangaroo
Ellen Barkin doomed the show along with it’s in your face attitude.

So in reality “The New Normal” really wasn’t groundbreaking at all.
