A publicist — who is also a mother — is fed up with Hollywood’s exploitation of sex. Rather than remain silent, she recently penned an epic blog post lampooning the entertainment industry and calling for Tinseltown and society, alike, to come to its moral senses.
It all started last week as Rebeca Seitz of Naples, Florida, was enjoying some morning television. As commercials began to air, she could hardly believe her eyes. While she was watching “Good Morning America,” an advertisement for the ABC show “Betrayal” came on, featuring a male and female in the midst of a steamy sex scene. The commercial for the show was apparently graphic, exposing her 8-year-old son to extremely unpalatable content.
Here’s the image she captured and posted on her blog:
Seitz, a Christian, reacted to the scene by sending her son away, rewinding to be sure her eyes didn’t deceive her and snapping a picture on her phone. She then uploaded the image to Facebook, where it was ironically taken down for violating the social network’s standards (someone reported it and it was deemed “inappropriate due to nudity”).
The frustrated mother, who works in media and is the president of a public relations firm, posted the picture in an effort to spark a conversation about morality and standards — and to voice her frustration and disbelief. When the Facebook post was removed, a friend suggested she take to her blog to document what unfolded, so she did.

GET RID OF YOUR TELEVISION, or at least all external feeds to it.
The commercials during sports programming are terrible, and it’s been going on a long time. I remember a commercial for the awful show Allie McBeal that showed her jumping up on the face of a man.
This makes me furious. There are lots of young kids either watching major sports events or just in the room with adults when these networks (Fox being one of the worst) show their sleazy commercials for their sleazy shows. Just avoiding their trashy sitcoms doesn’t keep this garbage out of your living room
I know many people say just turn off the TV, but some of us like to watch some programs, so why should we be forced to watch smut along with the World Series?

You presume a free market exists for the media. Lol, that died over 40 years ago! With few exceptions television, movies, etc. have been a propaganda apparatus for many years.
When Leftists control the media they control the message.
If advertisers want exposure they have to play by the media’s rules. Ex.: Her posts being removed by Facebook.

Yes they do do it purposely. It’s to garner more porn addicts. This was the subject of one of my first rants on FR, back in 2000 I think, when the Playboy Channel was allowed to exhibit itself to nonsubscribers by the Supreme Court. It is an invasion, and it has only gotten worse since then.
We had one Internet port when the kids were little. They were sent to school where I taught and knew what was going on.
We told them about this stuff when they were ready.
Now, they are bombarded with it at school media and on the Internet. And they can properly process it, fast forward it, and they recmize deviancy when they see it.
They have to. They’re going to be dealing with it until it runs its course and gets back to normal. And it will. Whether that’s a hundred yrs from now or not who knows

If enough people complain, boycott, change the channel, etc then you can (at least some times) expect a change in programming.
You have to be selected, very selective in what you watch today.

Just wow. This mom is correct to complain to the FCC.
I have friends who have restricted what can be viewed on the TV at home and so far have kept their young teen’s minds from being polluted.
They have one of the largest DVD collections I’ve ever seen and not a filthy flick in the lot.
The kids are home schooled and well socialized between church, athletics and home school network.
It can be done. The kids will get to a point in their lives that they will be responsible for what they choose to view. Right now their parents have made it for them.
She would have better luck claiming that it offended her Muslim sensitivies....
