Same problem on channels that otherwise have a lot of good programming (History, Discovery, etc.) It’s not the shows I worry about as much as the commercials.
We took TV out of the house on the birth of our first child MANY years ago. We have never missed it.
i don’t mind it as much in comparison to homosexual shows that pass as normal on network tv’s
no wonder i haven’t watch network tv’s in years.
While I support her First Amendment rights here I also disagree with her contacting the FCC to take action.
The correct response is to let the market, not Government, decide.
Wow. Having seen the picture, I see her point. That seems way out of line for a time when kids are watching.
I have mixed feelings here.
First of all... her 8 year old has seen and heard plenty worse at home and at school - on TV and the internet. If she gets all bunched up over this - then she better gear up for a whole lot more (worse) to come.
Having said that - she’s right. She might as well go pick up grains of sand and throw them back into the ocean as far as complaining about the filth and crap on TV and in our culture. But at least she took a stand.

It is a medical fact that kid under the age of puberty simply cannot deal with mental images of any kind of sex (normal/marital or deviant)

We NEVER played network TV nor any TV news. I won’t play radio top of the hour news
I turn it off when we are in a waiting room and thank those places who keep the TV off

The vast majority of “Christians” spend much more time watching the filth on TV and the computer than they do reading God’s Word, praying and going to worship.
We only have so many hours to live. When we are called upon to give an account of how we spent those hours, will it show we were really followers of Jesus?

The main thing America has been “progressing” towards during the 20th century is the breakdown of Biblical morality amongst the populace.

Use the mass media and education to reverse what people think is acceptable and what is “bad” over the span of a few decades.
Why would corporate boards of directors of large companies want to help build an immoral and ignorant society ?
Who is controlling the boards of directors, how do they control them, and why ? What is the real goal ?
