She was great in The Haunting (1963), directed by Robert Wise.

The only thing I remember seeing her in was the original version of The Haunting. She was excellent in that.

RIP.

She was in a Columbo episode called "Any Old Port in the Storm." One of the best, in my opinion.

She was very good in "The Haunting" as well.

The only thing I remember seeing her in

East of Eden, with James Dean! And of course, talking Alec Baldwin off the roof in Knots Landing, that was a great moment. :)

I remember that episode and I agree with you.

Start at about the 2-minute mark: Julie Harris talks Alec Baldwin to his death.

Memories.

John Steinbeck's East of Eden filmed with James Dean as Cal and Julia Harris as Abra. I thought could anyone be as nice as Abra? Her closing words to a dying Adam Trask (Raymond Massey) are still with me.

I know the reality of who people seem to be is often not what is always what they are in real life. However I am sure Julia was as nice as her portrayal of Abra.

Alas, time catches up with everyone.

Prayers for her family.

She was an incredible actress, who brought every character she ever played to life.

A true talent that will be missed.

Saw her in "The Belle of Amherst" in Boston sometime in the late 70's. Loved her in "The Haunting."

RIP Julie.

You know, I never saw that one. In fact...I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything James Dean was in.

Kinda weird, given just how many old movies I *have* seen.

...she was James Dean’s romantic co-star in “East of Eden” (1955), and had rolls in...

Rolls in?

RIP Miss Harris.
