Former Mont. teacher gets 30 days for student rape

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A former Billings Senior High School teacher who pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old student who later killed herself has been sentenced to 30 days in jail by a judge who said the victim was "older than her chronological age" and "as much in control of the situation" as the teacher.

District Judge G. Todd Baugh sentenced Stacey Dean Rambold to 15 years in prison for sexual intercourse without consent, with all but 31 days suspended. He gave Rambold credit for one day already served, The Billings Gazette reported.

The girl's mother repeatedly screamed, "You people suck!" and stormed out of the courtroom Monday.

Rambold, now 54, was charged in October 2008 with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent alleging that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with Cherice Morales, starting the previous year when she was 14.

Morales took her own life in February 2010 while the case was pending.

In July 2010, Rambold entered a three-year deferred prosecution agreement with prosecutors that said the charges would be dismissed if Rambold completed a sex offender treatment program and met other conditions, including having no contact with children. He also admitted to one rape charge.

The case was revived last December when prosecutors learned Rambold had been terminated from the sex offender treatment program.

I wonder what Judge Baugh has been doing in his “off” time...

“Time for a new judge.”

Time to dispose of an old judge. And a school teacher. Montana is an awfully big state and not a lot of people. Just sayin’....

Now I know how the (freedom-loving) Germans felt in the 1930s, and the Russians under Lenin and Stalin, too, for that matter, watching their country head to a bad end, but apparently powerless to stop it...

We're not powerless to stop it - we're the most heavily-armed civilian population in the world. The Russians and Germans were disarmed. The only question is whether or not we have the balls to do something.

It would seem that the judge had a few parties in his time.

Perhaps so, but he still needs at least one more party: a blanket party.

If that doesn't "turn his life around", then maybe a burial party would be in order.

My sons have friends whose families are involved in pig farming. Enough said.

I've been considering that for the Ft. Hood jihadist as well.

I may have been a little too subtle with the word “apparently”...

Solzhenitsyn had a good quote about this, saying that if the people had met the secret police with even just pitchforks and clubs, they would have thought twice about arresting anyone.

BTW, do what, exactly? Wait for the goon squads? I made my pitch before the elections, but got shot down right here on FR by the “true conservatives” that stayed home on election day... Accomplices to the crime, in my opinion.

Aw hell, we've got another one.

Listen, if you have one guy running who wants to move us two steps to the left, and another guy running who wants to move us one step to the left, then voting for either guy moves us to the left.We are a site dedicated to moving us to the right. The math is not that hard to do. Stop blaming Freepers for the mess we're in. The ones that kept voting, for the last 100 years, for the guy that only wants to move us one step to the left are the reason we are in this mess.

As for what we can do to resist, I'll say this (hi NSA! oh and f*** you!) NOBODY can make you do anything. They can request you do something, and they can threaten you with consequences if you say no, but they can't make you say "yes". If you decide to say "no", the 2nd Amendment provides us with the tools to give our answer weight.

Thank you for confirming that in the above post I was too subtle with the term “apparently”, apparently...

_____
Aw hell, we’ve got another one.

“Another one”? At least I didn’t roll over on my back like you and your ilk and let a communist walk into the White House. I may have been late to the fight, but at least I fought to keep him out and didn’t sit at home on election day watching the communists take over my country. At least the “one step to the left” candidate was a lesser evil than the pure evil there now. Thank you for letting him in so easily. As a military retiree who helped defeat communism in the Cold War, and who has children who will now have to live under Zero’s legacy in my own country as we slide down the slope towards the Gulag, I take that very personally. Accomplices, indeed.

_____
Listen, if you have one guy running who wants to move us two steps to the left, and another guy running who wants to move us one step to the left, then voting for either guy moves us to the left.

So, just roll over on your back and let the “two-step” communists into the White House? Great strategy there, genius…

_____
We are a site dedicated to moving us to the right. The math is not that hard to do. Stop blaming Freepers for the mess we’re in.

I don’t blame all Freepers, just ones like you who give up so easily. Even Jim Robinson came around and saw the train wreck that is Zero bearing down on us and endorsed Romney. So, don’t be thinking all Freepers are in the same pity party boat you’re in. Some of us are actually trying to do something to keep the bullets from flying. Or is that what you really want? God help us all, then, if that’s the case. All war is hell, especially civil war.

_____
The ones that kept voting, for the last 100 years, for the guy that only wants to move us one step to the left are the reason we are in this mess.

Nice try. Accusing me of voting for the “one step to the left” guy, and then saying those who have done so for the last 100 years are the reason we’re in the mess we’re in, doesn’t make me responsible for it. I may be new to the domestic politics game, but it’s those who have sat on the sidelines like yourself complaining about things and not getting good conservative candidates to run that are the problem. The establishment Republicans eat guys like you for lunch and have done so for the last 100-plus years. When I retired from the military, I asked what had happened to my country. Now I know. The Left had no opposition. Thanks for keeping up the home front for us…
_____
As for what we can do to resist… …the 2nd Amendment provides us with the tools to give our answer weight.

Good luck with that strategy. You don’t know what you’re up against.

Hey dumbass, I voted for Romney. I'm also a vet. I'm just sick of people crying and blaming those conservatives who chose not to vote for the lesser of two evils.

And if you've got a point to make with the word "apparently" then spit it out already. You are APPARENTLY not as clever as you think you are.

More than one individual thought that the pedophile did no wrong.

Yes, and some are FReepers on some of the other threads about this case! Makes me sick!

Your mental abilities are self-APPARENT. Get that point, or is it not APPARENT enough for you?

So, you’re a vet, eh? By your logic, someone who swears an oath to defend the Constituation and wear the uniform is okay right up to, including, and after the point where they decide to become a “conscientious objector” and not defend the Constitution any longer (or help your sorry ass out in a foxhole).

Same thing as claiming to be “conservative”, then sitting at home because of “conservative objections” to one candidate, and then letting the full blown communist march right into the White House. Those type of “conservatives” deserve all the blame they can get because they aided and abetted in the crime... Dereliction of duty, at the very least.

See the Solzhenitsyn comment for more clarity about the citzenry APPARENTLY being powerless or not. APPARENTLY you are not aware of how thoroughly useless sidearms or rifles are against the US miltary these days... See any AC-130 video on YouTube for any more questions about that. Better yet, go get some combat time on one.

Have a nice day, dumbass.
