Conservative GOP lawmakers have taken steps to diminish the influence of the Heritage Foundation, barring the conservative think tank's employees from participating in planning meetings.

House Republican Study Committee Chairman Steve Scalise informed Heritage officials last month that they would no longer be welcome at the group's weekly gatherings, a decision that ended a decades-long working relationship, reports The National Journal.

To paraphrase President Ronald Reagan; I didn't leave the GOP, the GOP left me.

The tree of liberty is very thirsty...

Methinks this also has something to do with the GOPe’s hatred of Jim DeMint and his unapologetic conservatism while a member of the Senate.

This is why we’re so screwed. The GOP should be doing the exact opposite.

Well screw them. I’ve been a Republican In Name Only for years now, and that last connection will be cut as soon as I get off my butt and change my registration to Independent.

GOP: The slightly less left-wing arm of the National Progressive Socialist Party.

Very slightly less.

The dispute was over “moving the goalposts” on the agriculture bill? Can’t conservatives keep themselves together a little better than this?

When Levin starts naming names, you know it’s serious!
And serious it is!

In one segment of Hannity’s radio show he talks all tough, but in the next segment has Karl Rove on with his idiotic, a$$ kissing introduction:

“And here he is, the architect, Karl Rove! How are you my friend?”

Must have a new one.

The GOP is as dead as a long-stinking rat in the wall.

Burn the f*ckers and at least get rid of the stench.

The headline is a bit misleading, as the group banning the Heritage folks is the conservative caucus of Congress, not the GOP in general.

It's really sad Rush leaves all the heavy lifting to Levin in this regard. Good grief, Rush agonizes about being critical of Rubio...or Boner!

The War is on!
DC Astroturffers vs National Grassroots.

Not even a fair fight.

I would not be surprised if Levin calls for a war against the GOP tonight.
He has come close several times. This may push him over the edge.

Bring it on.

A damn good example of the uselessness of Sean Vannity in 2013 .... it is a complete contradiction to 'tough talk' and a$$ kiss Rove ... on the same program.

Agreed. The GOP elite and GOP leaders have a lot of power but they can be knocked down if conservatives -- which most of them are not -- unite and stand steadfastly up to them.

Not another dollar from me goes to the Stupid Party until it returns to its conservative roots and to traditional American values. Nothing!

Well....I guess that’s it....these guys (the GOPe Regime) are just as big of an enemy as Obama is.

I’d sooner see the whole damn thing burn to the ground that let these bunch of liars and appeasers continue knifing us in the back any more. Just let it all burn and move onto other means to have our will be done.
