But "he was a good kid"

Robinson’s father knew a different side of his son, who had a 9-year-old daughter.

“He was a good kid. He would help anybody,” his father said. “But the drug problem got the best of him.”

Charles Robinson said he understood the homeowner’s need to protect himself, but he wondered why the homeowner fired a second round at his son, who he believes was unarmed. He said his son was shot in the side.

“I could see him shooting out of fear with the first shot,” Charles Robinson said. “But that second shot, that’s between him and God.”

Mr. Robinson, the homeowner is not the issue, your sons actions were. No excuses please.

He allegedly fought with the homeowner, who killed him with two shotgun blasts after Robinson stole keys and tried to drive off in the family’s vehicle.

The homeowner obviously misread the memo. Shotgon Joe Biden said two shotgun blasts into the air, not into the suspect.

From the picture slide show. It appears they are showing a much younger picture in the header. Or is this someone other than the perp?

but he wondered why the homeowner fired a second round at his son

One for his wife and the other one for their child. Besides, this way, it's over and done with. No lengthy trial, medical costs, incarceration, a win win all the way around.

Mr. Robinson, your son's first arrest? Maybe he made a 'mistake.' But the next 27 or so, those are between him and God, too.

I wonder if Mr. Robinson would feel the same way if some thug broke into his home to steal from him....

BTW...the homeowner fired the second shot to make your dirtbag son was not going anywhere else to rob and steal..

With my 18.5 inch 12 gauge pump he would have gotten 6 rounds.

No, that is what any reasonable person should have done. Make sure the the mad dog feral beast was dead. Your son will have to deal with God

Scary is that many law enforcement and politicians think the homeowner defending himself and his family...is the criminal

Good shot. Criminals dying in the commission of crime is good for everyone

Just once I want to hear a parent say they raised their Thug better than this,
and he deserved what was coming to him for his actions.

Another justice served to the public on a slab. Good riddance.
