O'Reilly buys Obama propaganda on Syria
Renew America ^ | 9-8-13 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 09/08/2013 9:50:16 PM PDT by ReformationFan

Bill O'Reilly objects to "bloviating," which I think means giving opinions not based on fact. So what should we make of his claim that "I believe there is overwhelming evidence that the Syrian tyrant Assad did gas civilians, including children." Where is the "overwhelming evidence?"

One day earlier, O'Reilly had claimed, "The evidence is strong that Assad violated the Geneva Convention by using poison gas to kill civilians."

So in the course of one day, the evidence had gone from "strong" to "overwhelming." On what basis did this occur? O'Reilly doesn't say.

I submit that O'Reilly is engaged in bloviating.

O'Reilly, who is about to begin celebrating his 18th year on the air as the host of the most popular Fox News program, is doing tremendous damage to the notion that he can be relied upon for "fair and balanced" coverage of the major issues of the day.

This is far more serious than an error O'Reilly made when he came under fire for falsely claiming that no Republicans were invited to the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington. "The mistake? Entirely on me," O'Reilly said.

In the case of going to war, a far more serious matter than talking about invitations to a civil rights event, O'Reilly makes claims that parrot Obama's talking points, but he offers no evidence to substantiate them.

On this issue, O'Reilly should rename his "Talking Points Memo" the "Obama Talking Points Memo." He is one of the best allies that Obama has going for him as he attempts to persuade conservatives in the House to vote for war.

It is NOT Saudi owned, they own 7%

////////////////
And what percentage of Fox do you own? If it is less than 7%, then permit me to suggest that the Saudis have far more leverage with Fox than you and I combined.

Believe a serial liar if you want to, Billy Boy.

I’m not stupid, so I’m not going to.

And I also don’t care if he’s black or if he makes a jackass of himself in front of the world.

I saw the piece with the colonels, both of which disagree with him about attacking Syria. The downside is that he’s sold out on punishing those gas attacks. The upside is he did allow a bit of the opposing view to have their time on air. He never really argues with the colonels the way he does with some.

There isn’t overwhelming evidence that that Assad used gas.

Forget that and ask who gets all those WMDs if Assad is defeated? A bunch of radical jihadists.

That is no better and is actually worse. Not only are they practicing ethnic cleansing against Christians, but they are far more likely to try to export those wmds.

O’Reilly is seriously misguided on this one.

And Why?

He’s worried about Obama becoming a lame duck.

I never knew he cared so much about Obama, but there is no such thing as a lame duck president. They always retain the veto. Clinton proved that when they thought he’d finally become a duck.

O’Reilly has hardly said anything about Soetoro’s birth, the forged “birth certificate,” etc., that wasn’t a lie.

He is no longer the peoples advocate as he bills himself, he has begun to love his position of power and influence and lost sight of the truth. And I think he likes 0.

Obama is no blacker than he is white.. meaning he is as white as he is black..
Calling Obama BLACK IS A LIE.... a delusion.. a bait and switch.. a boondoggle.. a con..

It like calling America a democracy when it is NOT..
Or even saying America’s elections are honest and not Fraud..

Many maybe most are delusional..

O’Reilly’s no-spin zone exists solely because there is no room for anyone else’s spin after BO spins and spins and spins on every topic.

O’Reilly is not very bright. I stopped watching when he said Hillary didn’t have a chance to win Senate seat. If he’s so unaware of the stupidity of New Yorkers, he is seriously impaired. Not surprised he’s swallowed the Syria pill.

The media like to call Ted Baxter a conservative.

He isn’t, and frankly, I quit liking him after about six months of seeing his show on Fox...he is not conservative, he is more of a populist, I think.

Heck, if the administration is so concerned about the citizens being gassed in Syria, why don’t they consider bombing North Korea as well who has done far more atrocities to their citizens.

Every time a county uses terror on their citizens is not an excuse for military action.

I am still looking for all of those places in the United States where Ted O ‘Baxter insisted that we can go and legally buy “machineguns and bazookas” without “any kind of backtound check “.

Still haven’t found them.
