Therefore, don't you think that blacks should CHECK OUT this claim that both parties switched positions on race and find out if it's true? We all know that, as an institution, the Democrat Party was the primary oppressor of black people for almost 200 years. So if Democrats say that a seismic shift occurred between the two parties on racial issues, don't you think that the black community should investigate for themselves instead of taking the word of the Democrats for it?
What would it hurt? If it's true--fine. If not, than the black community is supporting their own oppressors. And that should be exposed!
Well, someone did decide to check it out for himself—I did. And IT'S NOT TRUE! The democrats have always controlled the black vote in the South. They did it, first, with terror tactics, then with Jim Crow Laws. But when the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed, do you think they were going to let go of their control that easily?
Of course not!
Think about it. Isn't it INCREDIBLY CONVENIENT, for the Democrats, that this shift occurred after the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965?
With the help of the media and educational institutions, they came up with this story so that Democrats CAN KEEP CONTROL OF THE BLACK VOTE.
Now I'll briefly go over the results of my investigation.The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was originally the Civil Rights Act of 1957 under Republican President Dwight Eisenhower. Both the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 never would have passed if it were not for Republican Senator Everett Dirksen. The Senate Democrats were going to filibuster both bills into oblivion just like they did the Dyer Anti-Lynching Law in 1922.
But Senator Dirksen got both bills through the Senate and onto Lyndon Johnson's desk. And from that point, Lyndon Johnson didn't have a choice but to sign it because all eyes were on him. Otherwise, he would've supported a filibuster just like he did when he was in the Senate. When Johnson was in the Senate, he and the democrats tried to defeat Eisenhower's Civil Rights bill, at first. But there was so much public pressure on them that Johnson simply removed the enforcement aspect so that it couldn’t be enforced by the Justice Department. The Democrats wanted to defeat the Civil Rights Act of 1957, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
They sure did switch roles at that time, didn't they?
Now when it comes to southern voters, this is what happened. Yes, many southern voters supported racist Democrat politicians like George Wallace and Orval Faubus and racist democrat congressmen like Coleman Blease. But you have to keep in mind that republican voters didn’t have a voice in politics, in southern states, during that time. Many were afraid to openly admit that they were republicans. During that time, the democrats controlled and politicized everything. Southern republicans couldn’t get good jobs if they admitted they were republicans.
So why do most southern voters support republicans now?
You have to remember what was going on, in America, throughout the 1960's. Police stations WERE BEING BOMBED, all over the country, by radical socialist organizations like the Weather Underground. These same groups were rioting in big cities all over the country. When Americans watched the news each night, they heard about another police station being bombed or people getting hurt in riots. One of the biggest riots occurred at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago in 1968.
IT WAS NO SECRET THAT THESE RADICAL SOCIALIST ORGANIZATIONS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEMOCRATS. And when the average southern voter saw this, they didn't want to be associated with the Democrats anymore! So they began to leave the Democrats and voted for republicans. In 1968, Richard Nixon won 7 out of 13 southern states. That was the first time a republican won that many southern states since Reconstruction. And it was at that time that the Republican Party began to gain strength in the south. The radical socialists drove southern democrat voters away from the Democrat Party and into the arms of the Republican Party!
Fast forward to 1980 and we see that Ronald Reagan won all of the southern states, except for Georgia. And it was the incompetence of Jimmy Carter that drove the remaining southern voters into the republican camp.And it's been that way ever since.
That's what happened. That's what my research revealed. The Democrats and Republicans DID NOT switch sides on the race issue. However, southern democrat voters did abandon the Democrat Party for legitimate political reasons. They didn’t want to be associated with radical socialists of1960’s, which are still in the Democrat Party today!
Spiritually speaking... they were self glorifying losers.
The left needs a permanant underclass. The left feeds off about 60-70% of the taxes they take for the “fairness and redistribution”. The poor aer not taught how to make a living for themselves. It is parasitism.
If they reversed themselves politically, then there must have been a massive switching of the major party leaders and politicians, we would still remember many of their names as they all changed teams, but there wasn’t such a happening.
For one thing, this would be such a freaky bizarre thing to happen, it doesn’t even make any sense, and the claim is that it all took place recently, yet we all missed it somehow as we were living and voting and watching TV.
