JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO: The Affordable Care Act takes effect next month, The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows Americans oppose it, believing it will produce damaging results. Fifty-two percent believe the law will raise their health care costs. Is everybody wrong?

Blowhards (Overbearing False Experts): Heaven help the team with the blowhard. Blowhards know absolutely what needs to be done, with no ifs, ands, or buts. Their way is the only way because they are the experts and you and the other team members are mere peons who don’t really understand the complexities of the situation in the way they do. They will seldom even entertain others’ ideas, and will quickly put them down as silly, misdirected, and wrong. If you don’t do it their way, they will often go off and sulk in the corner and refuse to have anything to do with the team. Often, they don’t even recognize the impact of their behavior, as they are so damn certain that they are right and everyone else is wrong. Blowhards suck the air out of brainstorming discussions or attempts to think creatively.

sometimes folly has to fail good and hard before fools (and there are plenty of them on this scene, not all being of the estimable donkey party) learn wisdom.

i read this through spiritual eyes now. a good God has never gone on vacation. but sometimes we wrap ourselves up in blindness. and so God says go ahead play blind mans buff if you must, till you get tired of conking your head on the wall.

my question is what in hell (literally) are we revering here? this system isn’t going to share the blessings of God any better. it is going to exalt godless government. and “godful government” isn’t a much better thing to exalt either... it’s God himself that deserves the exaltation and who will bring great power again if exalted.

the “exemptees” won’t be able to escape the folly either. it’s going to greatly hobble the rewards system by which those who generated good new treatments would be encouraged to continue in that vein. when the USA was the ultimate escape hatch, Britain’s (and Canada’s) folly in this direction wasn’t the ultimate disaster. now we are about to board over the escape hatch!

Well Obamacare has already started to affect me. In 2014 I have lost my 100% coverage plan. Which compared to unions health plans sucked, but at least I only got hit with bills in the hundred dollar range. Next year I get an HRA, where I need to spend $2000 before ay coverage kicks in. My max out of pocket will be $8000. My family does have health issues since we are older, so we will hit the max every year. I work at a major Wall Street bank, so this is hitting main street right now. I do not know how the Democrats are going to hid this and run on this being a great thing. I guess the stupid people will get theirs for free and they will vote for even more free stuff. I know for a fact in Pennsylvania, a crack whore will have free medical care and mine will cost over $10,000 per year. Such a deal!
