When Obama ran for reelection in 2012 his first instinct was to race bait and solidify his black base.
In defending Obamacare, Obama again plays to the African-American gallery. If you watch his speech and watch the subtle alteration in his tone of voice , and watch where he casts his eyes, you will hear the chorus which responds to his baiting. They are trying to "mess with me" he says in a cadence one hears from a black preacher but he is really saying to that gallery, "are you going to let them attack a brother?"
White people can hear dog whistles too.
Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial.
“White people can hear dog whistles too.”
Yep. Looks like a shout out to me.
Blacks represent roughly 13% of the population. Whites (including hispanics) are about 72%.
I really don’t think they want to go there.
Heard the same thing.
In ghetto speak it’s
Da Da Da Da be dissin’ me
“They are trying to “mess with me” he says in a cadence one hears from a black preacher but he is really saying to that gallery, “are you going to let them attack a brother?”
What is he going to say? “Republicans are interfering with my vision for the healthcare industry”?
He’d get the same blank looks I’ve seen a hundred times when in college when professors use words with more than 2 syllables. I guess that’s the drawback to having a semi-literate base...
Hillary does that, too. And they respond to it.
