The Egyptian army has planned military attacks on specific targets in the Gaza Strip in the event that the security situation in the northern Sinai peninsula deteriorates, a senior Egyptian security official told the Ma'an news agency.

The source said that Egyptian reconnaissance planes had photographed the potential targets. According to intelligence sources, the Egyptian Army would attack from the air.

The plan to attack targets in Gaza is based on the Egyptian assessment that some of the attacks in the northern Sinai, especially in El Arish and in Rafah were carried out by armed Palestinians based in Gaza.

The security source said that the Egyptian Army is specifically targeting the extremist groups in Gaza who are regarded as hostile and it does not view the entire population there in this way.

The recent attack on the intelligence center in Rafah was carried out by the extremist Gaza groups, the source told Ma'an.

Last week Egypt opened the Rafah crossing, its main border with the Gaza Strip after it was closed........

It’s about time. The Egypts created that Gaaaaza mess in the first place by sending their indesirables there. Then spent decades ignoring the problem. You gotta give the E-Army a little credit. When they got sick recently of the problems caused by south side tunnel smuggling they started shutting them down by disposing of their sewage in them. A tunnel full of camel poo has got to be a deterrent to tunnel running. None of this would ever have developed if Israel had kept the whole Sinai. Thank you Jimmah Cahta for insisting they give it back.

This is what happens when a bunch of lunatics create the world’s largest open air reverse mental asylum, rapaciously inbreed, and work as hard as they can to make their own inbred, genetically defective spawn into mass murdering psychotics.

“... The Generals aren’t the ‘good guys’, but just the better bad guys....”
you know, I might think that, but...who says they are bad???

The Arab countries of the Mid-East detest the Persians of Iran for as far back as you can carry a grudge. Perhaps the Israelis could caulk up the Iranian nuclear ambitions by signing a nonaggression pact with Egypt and offering "technical assistance"? They do have a history of cooperation if not exactly friendship. After all, politics does make strange bed fellows...

Regards,
GtG

Nope, that would mean our system of government had totally failed. I think in America we can walk this doggie back without a coup.

Something tells me that there are IDF and Mossad liasons working directly with Egyptian military leaders ... Providing intel, targeting assistance, etc.

Something tells me Isreal will just stand by and watch the show.

I hope that is all in the end. What worries me is the attack would be a violation of the peace treaty. We are living in interesting times.

Hey Egyptian Army. The first rule of war is DON’T TELL THE ENEMY WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO ATTACK.

Fire any Obama people you hired and do your own thing.

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.

[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]
