Tirge Caps, a blogger at Daily Kos, says that in 2013, pre-Obamacare, he pays $150 a month for a health insurance plan from Kaiser. His wife pays $168. However, under Obamacare, their rates will nearly double, to $284 and $302, respectively:

I love the smell of Schadenfreude in the morning. It smells like...VICTORY!
“Lets see .... you must be mistaken, you need to shop around, its not Obamacares fault, its Kaisers fault, its the insurance company, youre a troll .....
Not getting much sympathy, was he?”
I noticed all of the comments were dated September 30, the day BEFORE signing up could begin. I wonder how many of the people who were making those comments changed their tune when they either couldn’t access the website, or could access it just enough to see what the rates were. I’ll bet there were a lot of jaws dropping all over the place. Serves the idiots right.
He voted for 0! he got what he deserved!
A couple points:
Doubling? Wait until it is all implemented. It will be much higher.
Why do they have separate health plans as a couple? Do they also file taxes separately too?
Wait until the whole thing gets rolling. Wait months for surgery and to get treatment at the hospital for what is routine now. Premiums will go up and up and up.
What a dweeb to be trolling around Daily Kos.
Whats the problem? Socialism is expensive, get over it.
Such blind faith. Such lack of awareness. A collection of NIVs (No Information Voters...if they bother).
I too read through vast swathes of the comments—and reading through such stuff is a parlous enterprise; that said, you’ve got the major threads nailed—the common denominator is a refusal to entertain the notion that the new glorious system might in any way have anything to do with his new sky-high rates. I give it to them, they are ingenious.
Good! Let the sonsofbitches that wanted obamacare get a piece of the action.
get informed and stop being a Low Information Voter.
Listen, coverage is NOT equal to care. Got that numbnutts?
Since you believed that removing caps on insurance coverages, removing pre-existing conditions, insuring our youth who didn't ‘need’ the coverage....OH, say what, YOU didn't realize that these elements of the AHCA was going to KILL healthcare and skyrocket insurance costs?
Listen, this was never about healthcare. This is about government control of your LIFE. And your partner's LIFE and your children's LIFE... oh, and MY life and the lives of all fellow US citizens.
and finally, your enabling a ‘leader’ thru propaganda and not informing yourself, much less realizing the CON in the White Hut and his minions on ABCCBSNBCMSNBC scammed your butt is shameful.
Now go away and consider paying the penalty if you cannot afford YOUR new “healthcare”, the “healthcare” YOU helped shove down our throats by YOUR stupidity, ignorance and support of a undocumented HALF WHITE inexperienced and angry community organizer, who couldn't organize a rock fight...dumbass
No, Kaiser doesn’t work that way. You can only go to their Facility for treatment.
You get the Doctor that is available to see you, not your own personal Physician.
The Doctors are Salaried Employees, same as the VA.
A guy I work with has Kaiser and Obamacare will save him money. He thinks it’s great.
Yeah, I felt the same way... kept looking around for my violin... so sad - - poor little liberal.
