After two weeks of a partial government shutdown, ask voters which party they want in charge of Congress, and - it’s a draw.
Right now, Democrats control the U.S. Senate, and Republicans have the majority in the House of Representatives. Forty-six percent (46%) of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democratic Party to be in charge of the entire Congress if their vote in next year’s elections was the determining factor. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just as many (45%) would vote for the Republican Party to be totally in control.

Personally, I prefer NEITHER.
What we need are AMERICANS, not Democrats, not Republicans. Men and women who understand the basic obligations of their oath, and will fulfill those obligations.

Any push poll that has Republicans less than 90% disapproval is a good poll imo.
The polls that had Republicans to blame at 53% were positive IMO based on what turnout will be.
Congress approval is 8% so 92% of the incumbents will be thrown out by that logic.

Yep. If they go back to being the working mans party and start speaking up for the tax slaves, they'd win in a landslide - especially after the people see their paralyzing health care premiums! Even union workers, i.e., taxpayers, would vote for them despite what their "leaders" say.

No offense to the few white women and minority races out there who support America, liberty and the Constitution, but it is the vast majority of white women, minorities and college aged idiots out there who vote democrat and subsequently bring senseless death and destruction to all of us as a result of their collective selfishness and stupidity.

I know. This thing is so bad that even those who wrote it and pushed it through don’t want any part of it. They’re all scrambling for exemptions. Now, anyone with more than a couple of brain cells can logically conclude that if those who created the monster don’t want anything to do with it, how well are the ordinary peons going to fare under it?
Whoever owns Rasmussen, I don’t think that we’ll ever see a Rasmussen poll ask people the following important question in cojunction with which party should control Senate or House. We won’t hear Rasmussen asking people why the Founding States made the Constitution, which was to deliberately limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers. This is because I suspect that whoever owns Rasmussen likely doesn’t want low-information voters to know more about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers than they need to.
And, there’s 47% on food stamps. How peculiar.
Just had this argument with my mother in-law. So frustrating! She was trying to tell me that Repubs controlled both the House and Senate and they were to blame for everything right now. What do you expect from someone retired who spends her day watching MSM.
It’s really meaningless because 95 percent are going to vote for their “friendly incumbent” any way.
A one-pt loss in the national vote would leave the GOP in charge of the House. The current House was the result of two-pt popular vote loss by the GOP.

This is not bad news. 45% of the nation wants the republicans to take over the senate. 46% of the nation wants the democrats to take over the house.
Sounds like republicans aren’t in the toilet after all.
I heard someone in a store today (at a free music performance with free beer) talking about Obamacare.
Both were over 50. Both disliked how it is being rammed down the throats of Americans AND both disliked the Senate’s exemptions (and union exemptions etc).
One knew the score, the other guy voice complaints about “that Republican Gabby Giffords who opposed it but was saved through public medical coverage”. The other guy knew what the real story was, tried to convince the dummycrat, and left it with “we’ll have to agree to disagree on that point”. The Democrat even knew her stance on guns but still put her on the “hard right”. And this was someone against the program.
They also both discussed the people who don’t realize the con that is being played in now selling it as “ACA” (affordable care act) instead of “Obamacare” (they are both terms for THE SAME DAMN THING). People “oppose” one but support the other.
Low information voters. And they threaten to damn us all.
