I disagree, American people now know that this is Obama and the democrat's baby. No more blaming republicans for anything related to Obamacare. When it all comes crashing down, republicans like Cruz can say that at least they tried. The is the ultimate Pyrrhic "victory" for the democrat party.

American people don't know jack shale and if they did Barak Obama would still be running scams on Chicago University Medical Center for chump change, Harry Reid would be back in Las Vegas embalming dead tourists and John McCain would be back in Scottsdale calling the cops on kids trashing his lawn. After all that's happened, you can still believe that the "American People" will suddenly realize that it's the democrat party who's been packing it up their bottoms? Really? The republican party is is best thing that's ever happened to the democrat trash

When I was young my father told me that there are only two things that make a man: Honor and Courage. Everything else stems from those.

“America is dead and we have McCain, Ayotte, Peter King, and Bohner to thank”

Blame Obama first then look to the traitors among your own ranks.

But your right, should they fail to stand their ground and just give into the democrat’s demands then they have completely and utterly failed to do anything but create drama.

The simple answer is we need a new party WITHOUT those weak-need traitors. A party that can stand at least as firm as the Democrats. If that is not the republican party we must start a new with a different party.

Let us wait until the house vote, and then start a campaign.

The choice is upon them, be useful or let the democrats rule us.
Follow the Constitution that says spending must start in the house, or let the present & senate dictate that spending to us.

Actually, the constitution says taxing (bill for raising revenue) must originate in the House - not that the constitution is enforceable on that point.

Plus, even if it was, the Senate could initiate spending, and also initiate a corresponding increase in debt.

“Would it have been right to tell them to forfeit every game? They were small, had a lousy coach and some wannabee Texas cheerleaders (and their moms, yikes).
Did they go onto the field and say ‘eh, no coach’?
If not, why not?
It was courageous of them to get out there. They had a goal which did not involve winning that particular game.
Duh.”

If you’re talking about HS football and young people building character then you’re onto something.
However, this isn’t HS football or any kind of recreational sport.
So fighting the doomed good fight didn’t accomplish very much except that everybody involved from both parties took a hit in job approval. The congressional Republicans took the biggest hit.

Just taxing, the way I read it. "All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives".

Obviously the House has to concur in the spending bills, but the only claim it has for origination is as to taxing.

You don’t get in and state your purpose in a fight for the sake of presenting your side because you an’t win?

And you want the GOPe gone?

That’s just not logical, nor brave

Go Pound Sand. It is the GOP E who has a bad strategy. Cruz tried to do something and they didn’t give a rat’s ass. They are the problem.

RR, will you do us a favor and put this post on Ted Cruz’s Facebook? Thank you for the most encouraging comment I have seen anywhere. I believe that Sen. Cruz would be encouraged if he read it.

>> Cruz is an inspiring speaker but a disaster as a strategist.

Nonsense. The GOP-e laid “IEDs” at every corner.

>> I want a smarter strategy that will build support for our cause.

Complaining is understandable, but to assume you’re not, I guess we should first understand how your cause is different from Cruz’, then understand your objections to Ted’s strategy that I’m not sure is documented.

What? “Definition of courage”? This isn’t about courageously going down to defeat. This is about WINNING. We need a smarter strategy.

At this point in US history, it takes two thirds of the House and two thirds of the Senate to win.

In view of that fact, how is a couple of weeks of civic education, accompanied by many campaign commercials' worth of Zero's petulance in the face thereof, not worth the trouble?

The fun fact is, come a year from next month, a lot of middle-class morons who voted for the Won because he knew how to use a teleprompter are going to be wondering how it came to pass that they are now coughing up a lot more $$ for a lot less health care for no reason other than their own stupidity in the voting booth!

They'll be looking for answers, for a way forward, and Ted Cruz and Mike Lee will have laid the blueprint.
