Any margarita worth its salt uses limes, not lemons.
;)
A bar in So. California used to serve white wine Margaritas because they didn’t have a hard liquor license, it was actually pretty good in that you could slam 3 or 4 on a hot day without getting over buzzed, kind of like drinking Coors light when you have to drive.
Ever try a Back Porch Margarita?
4 beers of your choice.
4 shots of tequila
1 can of frozen lime juice.
Better than you would ever think it could be.
It’s already dark here and the Calamansi are hard to find in enough quantity in the dark (they’re the size of quarters) ,, so I took Palin’s lead and plucked some unripe lemons..
I’m not sure I’d be thinking anything after drinking that. :-))
I’ve never had that fruit. What does it taste like?
indeed! i love tequila, and i love margaritas... but i will have mine made with lime... on the rocks, please!
well....
you COULD share, ya know
Funny you should mention hard cidey. I’m making a batch right now. Should be ready for drinking Christmas week. :-)
I’ll be making 10 gallons in a week or so :)
Lemon, lime....with the way things are right now, I'm not picky. Just gimme. ;)
Without the triple sec it’s nothing.
My congress critter is Peter Defazio so I know he will vote the syndicalist / Marxist point of view. He’s as bad as they come. He’s also no longer answering my letters, even with a form letter. According to his news letter he’s very excited about Obamacare but thinks the administration should be much more aggressive.
I’m going to kill a bottle of Pinot grigio.
Given the variations I’ve seen on both standard and Cadillac margaritas, the thought of a lemon marg doesn’t even surprise me.
I respectfully disagree with Sarah Palin that Obama's careless irresponsible approach to economics, particularly Obama's foolishness in taking the country into more debt, is the country's problem.
The real problem, imo, is widespread ignorance of the federal government's constitutionally limited powers among voters.
Rick Bayless’ Meyer Lemon Margarita
While this cocktail is delicious made with everyday lemons, when the strikingly aromatic Meyer lemons become available in early winter, its worth celebrating their deliciousness with a margarita.
8 Meyer lemons
1 bottle 100% blue agave blanco tequila (750 milliliters)
1 cup sugar
2 Meyer lemons
1 1/2 cups Meyer Lemon Tequila
1 cup Meyer lemon juice (4 to 5 lemons)
3/4 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup Meyer lemon simple syrup
6 cups ice
8 lemon twists, for garnish
2 shots of Beefeater gin, tonic water, slice of lime. Repeat as necessary, increasing gin portion.
Would you mind explaining please?
Sarah Palin is a very strong candidate go-forward.
She has a bright future.
It’s nice to know I’m in good company! Cheers!
